Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Provided are a method for power management and a multi-link device (MLD). The method is performed by a first MLD which has established and/or enabled one link including a first link or a plurality of links with a second MLD. The plurality of links include the first link and a second link. The method includes transmitting a first frame on the first link, wherein the first frame is configured to indicate a first power management mode for an affiliated station (STA) corresponding to the second link, or for the affiliated STA corresponding to the second link and an affiliated STA corresponding to the first link. The second link is different from the first link in the plurality of links.

First claim

What is claimed is: 1 . A method for power management, performed by a first multi-link device (MLD), wherein the first MLD has established and/or enabled one link comprising a first link or a plurality of links with a second MLD, the plurality of links comprising the first link and a second link, the method comprising: transmitting a first frame on the first link, wherein the first frame is configured to indicate a first power management mode for an affiliated station (STA) corresponding to the second link, or for the affiliated STA corresponding to the second link and an affiliated STA corresponding to the first link; wherein the second link is different from the first link in the plurality of links. 2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the first power management mode comprises at least one of: an active mode, indicating a constant awake state; or a power save mode, indicating an awake state, a doze state, or an unavailable state. 3 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the first frame carries a control field, configured to indicate the first power management mode. 4 . The method according to claim 3 , wherein the control field comprises at least one of: a first control field, configured to indicate that the first power management mode is an active mode or a power save mode; a second control field, configured to indicate that the power save mode is a fully powered power save mode or a capability adaptation power save mode; or a third control field, configured to indicate that the capability adaptation power save mode is a non-dynamic capability adaptation power save mode or a dynamic capability adaptation power save mode. 5 . The method according to claim 1 , further comprising: receiving capability information from the second MLD; wherein the capability information is configured to indicate that the second MLD supports cross-link power management capability or multi-link power management capability. 6 . A method for power management, performed by a second multi-link device (MLD), wherein the second MLD has established and/or enabled one link comprising a first link or a plurality of links with a first MLD, the plurality of links comprising the first link and a second link, the method comprising: receiving a first frame from the first MLD on the first link, wherein the first frame is configured to indicate a first power management mode for an affiliated station (STA) corresponding to the first MLD on the second link, or for the affiliated STA corresponding to the first MLD on the second link and an affiliated STA corresponding to the first MLD on the first link; wherein the second link is different from the first link in the plurality of links. 7 . The method according to claim 6 , wherein the first power management mode comprises at least one of: an active mode, indicating a constant awake state; or a power save mode, indicating an awake state, a doze state, or an unavailable state. 8 . The method according to claim 6 , wherein the first frame carries a control field, configured to indicate the first power management mode. 9 . The method according to claim 8 , wherein the control field comprises at least one of: a first control field, configured to indicate that the first power management mode is an active mode or a power save mode; a second control field, configured to indicate that the power save mode is a fully powered power save mode or a capability adaptation power save mode; or a third control field, configured to indicate that the capability adaptation power save mode is a non-dynamic capability adaptation power save mode or a dynamic capability adaptation power save mode. 10 . The method according to claim 6 , further comprising: transmitting capability information; wherein the capability information is used to indicate that the second MLD supports cross-link power management capability or multi-link power management capability. 11 . A first multi-link device (MLD), comprising: a processor; a transceiver communicably connected to the processor; and a memory configured to store one or more instructions executable by the processor, wherein the processor is configured to: transmit a first frame on a first link, wherein the first frame is configured to indicate a first power management mode for an affiliated station (STA) corresponding to a second link, or for the affiliated STA corresponding to the second link and an affiliated STA corresponding to the first link; wherein the second link is different from the first link in a plurality of links. 12 . The first MLD according to claim 11 , wherein the first power management mode comprises at least one of: an active mode, indicating a constant awake state; or a power save mode, indicating an awake state, a doze state, or an unavailable state. 13 . The first MLD according to claim 11 , wherein the first frame carries a control field, configured to indicate the first power management mode. 14 . The first MLD according to claim 13 , wherein the control field comprises at least one of: a first control field, configured to indicate that the first power management mode is an active mode or a power save mode; a second control field, configured to indicate that the power save mode is a fully powered power save mode or a capability adaptation power save mode; or a third control field, configured to indicate that the capability adaptation power save mode is a non-dynamic capability adaptation power save mode or a dynamic capability adaptation power save mode. 15 . The first MLD according to claim 11 , wherein the processor is further configured to: receive capability information from the second MLD; wherein the capability information is configured to indicate that the second MLD supports cross-link power management capability or multi-link power management capability. 16 . A second multi-link device (MLD), comprising: a processor; a transceiver communicably connected to the processor; and a memory configured to store one or more instructions executable by the processor, wherein the processor is configured to load and execute the one or more instructions to perform the method for power management as defined in claim 6 . 17 . The second MLD according to claim 16 , wherein the first power management mode comprises at least one of: an active mode, indicating a constant awake state; or a power save mode, indicating an awake state, a doze state, or an unavailable state. 18 . The second MLD according to claim 16 , wherein the first frame carries a control field, configured to indicate the first power management mode. 19 . The second MLD according to claim 18 , wherein the control field comprises at least one of: a first control field, configured to indicate that the first power management mode is an active mode or a power save mode; a second control field, configured to indicate that the power save mode is a fully powered power save mode or a capability adaptation power save mode; or a third control field, configured to indicate that the capability adaptation power save mode is a non-dynamic capability adaptation power save mode or a dynamic capability adaptation power save mode. 20 .
