Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A camera module includes a lens unit, a prism unit configured to transmitting light to the lens unit, a housing providing a receiving space in which the prism unit is received, a cover member covering the housing, a driving unit configured to tilt the prism unit, and a ball bearing disposed to be aligned with to an optical axis direction passing through a center of the lens unit. The ball bearing provides a tilting axis for tilting the prism unit along a first direction perpendicular to the optical axis direction and a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and the optical axis direction.

What is claimed is: 1 . A camera module comprising: a lens unit; a prism unit configured to transmitting light to the lens unit; a housing providing a receiving space in which the prism unit is received; a cover member covering the housing; a driving unit configured to tilt the prism unit; and a ball bearing disposed to be aligned with to an optical axis direction passing through a center of the lens unit, wherein the ball bearing provides a tilting axis for tilting the prism unit along a first direction perpendicular to the optical axis direction and a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and the optical axis direction. 2 . The camera module of claim 1 , further comprising a magnet configured to support the prism unit with the ball bearing, wherein at least a portion of the magnet overlaps the ball bearing along the optical axis direction. 3 . The camera module of claim 2 , wherein the prism unit is disposed to be tiltable while supported to the housing by the ball bearing and the magnet, and wherein the ball bearing includes a magnetic material. 4 . The camera module of claim 3 , wherein the prism unit is supported to the housing by an attractive force generated between the ball bearing and the magnet. 5 . The camera module of claim 2 , wherein the at least the portion of the magnet is spaced apart from the ball bearing along the optical axis direction. 6 . The camera module of claim 2 , wherein the magnet is disposed farther from the prism unit than the ball bearing along the optical axis direction. 7 . The camera module of claim 2 , wherein the cover member includes an inner wall, wherein the magnet is disposed on the inner wall of the cover member, and wherein the housing has a first recess in which at least a portion of the magnet is inserted along the optical axis direction. 8 . The camera module of claim 7 , wherein the prism unit includes an outer wall overlapping the inner wall along the optical axis direction, and wherein the outer wall of the prism unit is provided with a second recess in which the ball bearing is disposed. 9 . The camera module of claim 8 , wherein the housing includes a partition wall disposed between the inner wall and the outer wall, wherein the partition wall includes an outer surface facing the inner wall, and an inner surface facing the outer wall, wherein a third recess is provided at the outer surface of the partition wall in which at least a portion of the magnet is disposed, and wherein a fourth recess is provided at the inner surface of the partition wall in which at least a portion of the ball bearing is disposed. 10 . The camera module of claim 9 , wherein a size of the third recess and a size of the fourth recess are different from each other. 11 . The camera module of claim 2 , wherein the magnet is disposed at the cover member. 12 . The camera module of claim 2 , further comprising a circuit board disposed outside the housing and on which the driving unit is disposed, wherein the magnet is disposed on the circuit board. 13 . The camera module of claim 12 , wherein at least a portion of the magnet is in direct contact with the circuit board. 14 . The camera module of claim 13 , wherein the circuit board includes a substrate region including an inner surface and an outer surface opposite to the inner surface along an optical axis direction, wherein the magnet is disposed on an inner surface of the substrate region of the circuit board, wherein the prism unit includes an outer wall facing the substrate region along the optical axis direction, and wherein the ball bearing is disposed on the outer wall of the prism unit. 15 . The camera module of claim 1 , wherein the lens unit includes a first lens assembly and a second lens assembly configured to move along the optical axis direction. 16 . The camera module of claim 15 , further comprising: a first lens driving unit configured to move the first lens assembly along the direction of the optical axis, and a second lens driving unit configured to move the second lens assembly along the direction of the optical axis. 17 . The camera module of claim 1 , further comprising an image sensor configured to receive the light passing through the lens unit.
