Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A positive electrode active material comprises a first active material represented by a formula (I) and a second active material represented by a formula (II). The formula (I) and the formula (II) are as specified in the claims. Each of the first active material and the second active material is secondary particles each consisting of 50 or more primary particles aggregated together. An average particle size (D 1 50) of the first active material is smaller than an average particle size (D 2 50) of the second active material.

What is claimed is: 1 . A positive electrode active material comprising: a first active material represented by a formula (I) below; and a second active material represented by a formula (II) below, wherein each of the first active material and the second active material is secondary particles each consisting of 50 or more primary particles aggregated together, and an average particle size (D 1 50) of the first active material is smaller than an average particle size (D 2 50) of the second active material: where M1 and M2 are independently one or more metallic elements selected from the group consisting of Co, Al, Mg, Ca, Ti, V, Cr, Fe, Cu, Zn, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ta, and W, 0.13≤a1≤0.33, 0≤x1≤0.3, 0.47≤y1≤0.67, 0≤z1≤0.3, and a1+x1+y1+z1=1 are satisfied, and −0.1≤a2≤0.1, 0.6≤x2≤1, 0≤y2≤0.3, 0≤z2≤0.3, and a2+x2+y2+z2=1 are satisfied. 2 . The positive electrode active material according to claim 1 , wherein the average particle size (D 1 50) of the first active material is from 1 to 4 μm. 3 . The positive electrode active material according to claim 1 , wherein the average particle size (D 2 50) of the second active material is from 2 to 15 μm. 4 . The positive electrode active material according to claim 1 , wherein a ratio (D 2 50/D 1 50) of the average particle size (D 2 50) of the second active material to the average particle size (D 1 50) of the first active material is 2 or more. 5 . The positive electrode active material according to claim 1 , wherein a content of the first active material is from 60 to 95 mass %. 6 . A positive electrode plate comprising a positive electrode active material layer including the positive electrode active material according to claim 1 . 7 . The positive electrode plate according to claim 6 , wherein the positive electrode active material layer further includes carbon nanotubes, and a content of the carbon nanotubes relative to a total amount of the first active material in the positive electrode active material layer is from 2 to 6 mass %. 8 . A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising an electrode assembly, wherein the electrode assembly has the positive electrode plate according to claim 6 . 9 . The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to claim 8 , wherein the electrode assembly further has a negative electrode plate having a negative electrode active material layer, the negative electrode active material layer includes a negative electrode active material, and the negative electrode active material includes a carbon-based active material and a Si-containing active material. 10 . The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to claim 9 , wherein a content of the Si-containing active material in the negative electrode active material relative to a total amount of the negative electrode active material is from 3 to 15 mass %. 11 . The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to claim 9 , wherein the Si-containing active material is one or more types selected from the group consisting of Si, SiOx (x=0.5 to 1.5), and SiC.
