Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Devices, methods, and graphical interfaces for content applications displayed in an XR environment provide for an efficient and intuitive user experience. In some embodiments, a content application is displayed in a three-dimensional computer-generated environment. In some embodiments, different viewing modes and user interfaces are available for a content application in a three-dimensional computer-generated environment. In some embodiments, different interactions are available with content items displayed in the XR environment.

First claim

1 . A method comprising: at an electronic device in communication with one or more displays and one or more input devices: presenting, via the one or more displays, an XR environment including a first user interface including a plurality of content items in a first region of the XR environment at a first depth within the XR environment; while presenting the XR environment, detecting, via the one or more input devices, a first input; and in response to the first input: presenting a second user interface different from the first user interface including a content item of the plurality of content items at a second depth within the XR environment different from the first depth. 2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein: in accordance with a determination that the first user interface at the first depth is within a first threshold distance from the user, presenting the second user interface at the second depth comprises presenting the second user interface more than a second threshold distance from the user, the second threshold distance greater than the first threshold distance. 3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein: in accordance with a determination that the first user interface at the first depth is within a first threshold distance from the user, presenting the second user interface at the second depth comprises presenting the second user interface anchored to a representation of a planar surface in the XR environment. 4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein: in accordance with a determination that the first user interface at the first depth is outside a first threshold distance from the user, presenting the second user interface at the second depth comprises presenting the content item within a second threshold distance from the user, the second threshold distance less than the first threshold distance. 5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: presenting the first user interface concurrently with presenting the second user interface; in accordance with a determination that the first user interface is presented without presenting the second user interface, presenting the first user interface with a first appearance; and in accordance with a determination the first user interface is presented concurrently with the second user interface, presenting the first user interface with a second appearance different than the first appearance. 6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein: in accordance with a determination that the content item has a first characteristic, presenting the second user interface with the content item of a first size that at least partially wraps around the user in the XR environment; and in accordance with a determination the content item has a second characteristic, different from the first characteristic, presenting the second user interface with the content item of a second size smaller than the first size, without wrapping around the user in the XR environment. 7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein an appearance of the content item presented in the second user interface is different than an appearance of the content item in the first user interface. 8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: while presenting the XR environment, detecting, via the one or more input devices, a second input different from the first input; and in response to the second input: presenting a third user interface different from the first user interface and different from the second user interface, the third user interface including the content item of the plurality of content items at a third depth within the XR environment different from the first depth; or ceasing presenting of the second user interface, and presenting the first user interface at the first depth. 9 . An electronic device in communication with one or more displays and one or more input devices, the electronic device comprising: one or more processors; memory; and one or more programs stored in the memory and configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for: presenting, via the one or more displays, an XR environment including a first user interface including a plurality of content items in a first region of the XR environment at a first depth within the XR environment; while presenting the XR environment, detecting, via the one or more input devices, a first input; and in response to the first input: presenting a second user interface different from the first user interface including a content item of the plurality of content items at a second depth within the XR environment different from the first depth. 10 . The electronic device of claim 9 , wherein: in accordance with a determination that the first user interface at the first depth is within a first threshold distance from the user, presenting the second user interface at the second depth comprises presenting the second user interface more than a second threshold distance from the user, the second threshold distance greater than the first threshold distance. 11 . The electronic device of claim 9 , wherein: in accordance with a determination that the first user interface at the first depth is within a first threshold distance from the user, presenting the second user interface at the second depth comprises presenting the second user interface anchored to a representation of a planar surface in the XR environment. 12 . The electronic device of claim 9 , wherein: in accordance with a determination that the first user interface at the first depth is outside a first threshold distance from the user, presenting the second user interface at the second depth comprises presenting the content item within a second threshold distance from the user, the second threshold distance less than the first threshold distance. 13 . The electronic device of claim 9 , the one or more programs further including instructions for: presenting the first user interface concurrently with presenting the second user interface; in accordance with a determination that the first user interface is presented without presenting the second user interface, presenting the first user interface with a first appearance; and in accordance with a determination the first user interface is presented concurrently with the second user interface, presenting the first user interface with a second appearance different than the first appearance. 14 . The electronic device of claim 9 , wherein: in accordance with a determination that the content item has a first characteristic, presenting the second user interface with the content item of a first size that at least partially wraps around the user in the XR environment; and in accordance with a determination the content item has a second characteristic, different from the first characteristic, presenting the second user interface with the content item of a second size smaller than the first size, without wrapping around the user in the XR environment. 15 . The electronic device of claim 9 , wherein an appearance of the content item presented in the second user interface is different than an appearance of the content item in the first user interface. 16 . The electronic device of claim 9 , the one or more programs further including instructions for: while presenting the XR environment, detecting, via the one or more input devices, a second input different from the first input; and in response to the second input: presenting a third user interface different from the first user interface and different from the second user interface, the third user interface including
