A method of producing a thermoplastic resin includes obtaining ε-caprolactam by steps (a) and (b) using a waste (A) of a resin molded body containing at least polyamide 6 as a raw material, and polymerizing a raw material containing the ε-caprolactam: (a) adding at least one of water (B) heated to 290° C. or higher and 350° C. or lower and a polyamide 6 oligomer aqueous solution (B1) heated to 290° C. or higher and 350° C. or lower to the waste (A) of the resin molded body to make contact with each other; and (b) separating a reaction mixture obtained in step (a) into a solid and an aqueous solution containing ε-caprolactam by a solid-liquid separation (I).

1 .- 6 . (canceled) 7 . A method of producing a thermoplastic resin, comprising obtaining ε-caprolactam by steps (a) and (b) using a waste (A) of a resin molded body containing at least polyamide 6 as a raw material, and polymerizing a raw material containing the ε-caprolactam: (a) adding at least one of water (B) heated to 290° C. or higher and 350° C. or lower and a polyamide 6 oligomer aqueous solution (B1) heated to 290° C. or higher and 350° C. or lower to the waste (A) of the resin molded body to make contact with each other; and (b) separating a reaction mixture obtained in step (a) into a solid and an aqueous solution containing ε-caprolactam by a solid-liquid separation (I). 8 . The method of producing a thermoplastic resin according to claim 7 , wherein step (a) is a step of adding water (B) heated to 290° C. or higher and 350° C. or lower, or adding water (B) heated to 290° C. or higher and 350° C. or lower and a polyamide 6 oligomer aqueous solution (B1) heated to 290° C. or higher and 350° C. or lower to the waste (A) of the resin molded body to make contact with each other. 9 . The method of producing a thermoplastic resin according to claim 7 , wherein the solid-liquid separation (I) includes step (b1) of separating the reaction mixture into a non-melting material and an aqueous solution containing at least ε-caprolactam and a polyamide 6 oligomer by a solid-liquid separation, and step (b2) of separating a filtrate obtained in step (b1) into the polyamide 6 oligomer and an ε-caprolactam aqueous solution by a solid-liquid separation. 10 . The method of producing a thermoplastic resin according to claim 7 , wherein a polyamide 6 oligomer aqueous solution (B1) obtained by mixing the polyamide 6 oligomer separated in either step (b) or step (b2) with water, followed by heating to 290° C. or higher and 350° C. or lower is used in step (a). 11 . The method of producing a thermoplastic resin according to claim 7 , wherein the polyamide 6 oligomer aqueous solution (B1) is an extract liquid obtained in a step of extracting a polyamide 6 oligomer with hot water from polyamide 6 which is a product at a time of production of polyamide 6. 12 . The method of producing a thermoplastic resin according to claim 7 , wherein in step (a), the contact is made under a condition that a product of X and Y is 2,000 or less when a mass ratio of water to polyamide 6 in the waste (A) of the resin molded body or a mass ratio of water to a sum of polyamide 6 and a polyamide oligomer in the waste (A) of the resin molded body is represented by X:1 and a reaction temperature is represented by Y° C.
