Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An ultrasound probe includes: a transducer array in which a plurality of transducers configured to transmit and receive ultrasonic waves are arrayed with longitudinal directions of the transducers aligned; and a pair of housings each having a plate shape, the housings being configured to sandwich the transducers, the housings including a first conductive portion provided on a first face positioned on a side of each of the transducers, an insulating portion provided on an outer edge portion of a second face that is positioned on an opposite side of the first face, a second conductive portion provided on the second face, and a third conductive portion electrically connecting the first conductive portion and the second conductive portion.

First claim

What is claimed is: 1 . An ultrasound probe comprising: a plurality of transducers arrayed with a longitudinal direction, each of the plurality of transducers extending in a direction intersecting the longitudinal direction; a first plate including a through hole, the through hole penetrating the first plate in the direction; and a second plate facing the first plate, wherein the plurality of transducers are located between the first plate and the second plate to extend in the direction. 2 . The ultrasound probe according to claim 1 , wherein the first plate includes: a first inner surface; and a first material being electrically conductive, the first material located on the first inner surface. 3 . The ultrasound probe according to claim 1 , wherein the first plate includes: a first edge; and a first material being electrically insulative, the first material located on the first inner surface. 4 . The ultrasound probe according to claim 1 , wherein the through hole is defined by an inner surface, the first plate includes a first material being electrically conductive, the first material located on the inner surface. 5 . The ultrasound probe according to claim 1 , wherein the first plate includes: an outer surface; and a first material being electrically conductive, the first material located on the outer surface and around an opening of the through hole. 6 . The ultrasound probe according to claim 2 , wherein the first plate includes: an outer surface; and a second material being electrically conductive, the second material located on the outer surface and around an opening of the through hole. 7 . The ultrasound probe according to claim 6 , wherein the through hole is defined by a second inner surface, the first plate includes a third material being electrically conductive, the third material located on the second inner surface, wherein the second material is electrically connected to the first material via the third material. 8 . An endoscope comprising: the ultrasound probe according to claim 1 ; and an insertion portion having a distal end portion, wherein the ultrasound probe is located in the distal end portion. 9 . An ultrasound probe comprising: a plurality of transducers arrayed with a longitudinal direction, each of the plurality of transducers extending in a direction intersecting the longitudinal direction; a first plate including: a first inner surface; a first material being electrically conductive, the first material located on the first inner surface; a first edge; and a second material being electrically insulative, the second material located on the first edge; a second plate including: a second inner surface facing the first inner surface; and a third material being electrically conductive, the third material located on the second inner surface, and wherein the plurality of transducers are located between the first inner surface and the second inner surface in the direction. 10 . The ultrasound probe according to claim 9 , wherein each of the plurality of transducers has a pair of terminal ends. 11 . The ultrasound probe according to claim 10 , wherein the first inner surface and the second inner surface are adjacent to the pair of terminal ends. 12 . The ultrasound probe according to claim 9 , wherein a fourth material electrically connects the first material and the third material. 13 . An endoscope comprising: the ultrasound probe according to claim 9 ; and an insertion portion having a distal end portion, wherein the ultrasound probe is located in the distal end portion. 14 . An ultrasound probe comprising: a plurality of transducers arrayed with a peripheral direction, each of the plurality of transducers extending in a longitudinal direction; a first plate including: a first inner surface; a first material being electrically conductive, the first material located on the first inner surface; and a second plate including: a second inner surface facing the first inner surface; and a second material being electrically conductive, the second material located on the second inner surface, and wherein the plurality of transducers are located between the first inner surface and the second inner surface to extend in the longitudinal direction. 15 . The ultrasound probe according to claim 14 , wherein the second plate includes a first through hole ( 1014 Ab) and a second through hole ( 1016 Ab), the first through hole and the second through hole penetrate the second plate. 16 . The ultrasound probe according to claim 15 , wherein the first through hole is defined by a third inner surface, the second plate includes a third material being electrically conductive and located on the third inner surface. 17 . The ultrasound probe according to claim 15 , wherein the first plate includes a third through hole penetrating the first plate. 18 . The ultrasound probe according to claim 17 , wherein the first through hole is defined by a third inner surface, the first plate includes a third material being electrically conductive and located on the third inner surface. 19 . The ultrasound probe according to claim 14 , wherein the first plate includes an outer surface and a third material being electrically insulative and located on the outer surface. 20 . An endoscope comprising: the ultrasound probe according to claim 14 ; and an insertion portion having a distal end portion, wherein the ultrasound probe is located in the distal end portion.
