An autoinjector includes a case, a door hingedly coupled to the case and having an open position and a closed position, a plunger slidably disposed in the case, and at least one drive spring applying a biasing force on the plunger relative to the case, wherein the door is operably coupled to the plunger, and wherein rotation of the door from the closed position to the open position moves the plunger from a distal position in the case to a proximal position in the case and compresses the at least one drive spring.

1 . (canceled) 2 . A method of administering a medicament, the method comprising: pivoting a door of an autoinjector away from a housing of the autoinjector to an open position to access a support surface of the autoinjector; positioning a syringe assembly that contains the medicament on the support surface in a manner such that a distal portion of the syringe assembly extends from a distal end of the housing; pressing the autoinjector against an injection site; and expelling a dose of the medicament from the syringe assembly while the autoinjector is pressed against the injection site. 3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising viewing the syringe assembly through a viewing window of the door. 4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the viewing window overlaps at least a portion of the syringe assembly when the syringe assembly is supported on the support surface and when the door is in the closed position. 5 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the viewing window has an elongate shape. 6 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the viewing window is centrally positioned with respect to the door. 7 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising pivoting the door from the open position to a closed position against the housing prior to pressing the autoinjector against the injection site. 8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein a distal end of the door substantially aligns with the distal end of the housing when the door is in the closed position. 9 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising holding the autoinjector at one or more gripping features of the autoinjector. 10 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the housing has an elongate shape. 11 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the housing has a substantially rectangular shape. 12 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising removing the autoinjector from the injection site after expelling the dose of the medicament from the syringe assembly. 13 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising removing the syringe assembly from the housing of the autoinjector after removing the autoinjector from the injection site. 14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the syringe assembly is a first syringe assembly, and wherein the method further comprises placing a second syringe assembly on the support surface of the autoinjector after removing the first syringe assembly from the housing. 15 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the support surface extends along a length of the housing. 16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the syringe assembly comprises a body containing the medicament, a needle coupled to the body, and a removable cover that is configured to cover the needle prior to use of the syringe assembly. 17 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising removing the removable cover from the body of the syringe assembly prior to pressing the autoinjector against the injection site. 18 . The method of claim 2 , wherein a distal end of the door aligns with the distal end of the housing when the door is in a closed position, and wherein the door comprises a viewing window that overlaps at least a portion of the syringe assembly when the syringe assembly is supported on the support surface and when the door is in the closed position. 19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the viewing window has an elongate shape, and wherein the viewing window is centrally positioned with respect to the door. 20 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the housing has a substantially rectangular shape, and wherein the support surface extends along a length of the housing. 21 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the autoinjector further comprises the syringe assembly; wherein the syringe assembly comprises a body containing the medicament, a needle coupled to the body, and a removable cover that is configured to cover the needle; and wherein the autoinjector comprises one or more gripping features.
