Official abstract text for this publication.
A retrieval device attachable to a scope includes a handle which has an attachment portion configured to couple the handle to the scope; a shaft coupled to the handle having a wire immovably coupled to the handle; and a sheath movable relative to the handle over the wire between a distal position and a proximal position via an actuator of the handle. The actuator actuates a slider assembly of the handle. The slider assembly is coupled to the sheath and movable relative to the attachment portion to move the sheath and an expandable end effector coupled to the distal end of the wire. The end effector is movable between a collapsed configuration when the sheath is moved distally to the distal position to cover the end effector and an expanded configuration when the sheath is moved proximally to the proximal position, uncovering the end effector.

What is claimed is: 1 . A retrieval assembly comprising: a handle assembly comprising: an attachment portion configured to receive a retrieval device; a body; a slider movable relative to the body; a lever ring coupled to the slider; and a rod positioned on the body; wherein the lever ring is configured to move the slider proximally and distally relative to the body. 2 . The retrieval assembly of claim 1 , further comprising the retrieval device, wherein the retrieval device comprises a handle, a sheath, a wire received within the sheath, and an end effector at a distal end of the wire. 3 . The retrieval assembly of claim 2 , wherein the handle of the retrieval device is received within the attachment portion. 4 . The retrieval assembly of claim 2 , wherein the sheath of the retrieval device is coupled to the slider, and wherein the slider is configured to move the sheath relative to the end effector. 5 . The retrieval assembly of claim 2 , wherein the end effector is movable between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. 6 . The retrieval assembly of claim 1 , wherein the attachment portion comprises clips. 7 . The retrieval assembly of claim 1 , wherein the handle assembly further comprises a spring biasing the slider to a distal position. 8 . The retrieval assembly of claim 1 , further comprising a guide member, wherein the guide member comprises a channel, and wherein the rod is received within the channel. 9 . The retrieval assembly of claim 8 , wherein the rod is slidable within the channel to thereby move the handle assembly relative to the guide member. 10 . The retrieval assembly of claim 8 , wherein the guide member is configured to couple to a handle of a scope device. 11 . The retrieval assembly of claim 8 , wherein the handle assembly further comprises a wedge portion, wherein an exterior surface of the guide member comprises indents, and wherein the wedge portion is configured to be received within the indents to lock the handle assembly in a position relative to the guide member. 12 . The retrieval assembly of claim 11 , wherein each of the indents is ramp-shaped or U-shaped. 13 . The retrieval assembly of claim 1 , wherein the lever ring is coupled to the slider via an arm. 14 . A retrieval assembly comprising: a handle assembly comprising: an attachment portion configured to receive a retrieval device; a body; a slider; an actuation assembly coupled to the slider, the actuation assembly comprising a lever ring and an arm; and a rod positioned on the body; wherein the actuation assembly is configured to move the slider proximally and distally relative to the body. 15 . The retrieval assembly of claim 14 , further comprising the retrieval device, wherein the retrieval device comprises a handle, a sheath, and an end effector at a distal end of the retrieval device, and wherein the handle of the retrieval device is received within the attachment portion. 16 . The retrieval assembly of claim 15 , wherein the sheath of the retrieval device is coupled to the slider, and wherein the slider is configured to move the sheath relative to the end effector to transition the end effector between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. 17 . The retrieval assembly of claim 14 , further comprising a guide member configured to couple to a handle of a scope device, wherein the guide member comprises an angled channel, and wherein the rod is slidable within the angled channel. 18 . The retrieval assembly of claim 17 , wherein the handle assembly is movable relative to the guide member. 19 . A retrieval assembly comprising: a handle assembly comprising: an attachment portion configured to receive a handle of a retrieval device, wherein the retrieval device comprises a sheath and an end effector; a body; a slider; a lever ring coupled to the slider; and a rod; wherein the slider is configured to couple to the sheath; and wherein the lever ring is configured to move the slider proximally and distally relative to the body to thereby move the sheath relative to the end effector. 20 . The retrieval assembly of claim 19 , further comprising a guide member having an angled channel, wherein the rod is slidable within the angled channel to thereby move the handle assembly relative to the guide member along a longitudinal axis of the angled channel.
