Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A method of supplying heat includes: providing a heat generating material including: a first metal having a melting point of 230° C. or more, and a second metal having a melting point higher than the melting point of the first metal; and heating the heat generating material in the presence of hydrogen gas to a temperature that is equal to or more than a melting point of the first metal, thereby causing the heat generating material to generate excess heat.

First claim

Opening claim text (preview).

1 . A method of supplying heat comprising: providing a heat generating material comprising: a first metal having a melting point of 230° C. or more, and a second metal having a melting point higher than the melting point of the first metal; and heating the heat generating material in the presence of hydrogen gas to a temperature that is equal to or more than a melting point of the first metal, thereby causing the heat generating material to generate excess heat. 2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the temperature is less than a melting point of the second metal. 3 . A heat generating system comprising: a heat generating material comprising: a first metal having a melting point of 230° C. or more, and a second metal having a melting point higher than the melting point of the first metal; a hydrogen gas supplying device configured to supply hydrogen gas to the heat generating material; and a heater configured to heat the heat generating material to a temperature that is equal to or more than the melting point of the first metal in the presence of the hydrogen gas, thereby causing the heat generating material to generate excess heat.
