What is claimed is: 1 . A method of producing calcium hydroxide, comprising: producing an acid and a base via electrolysis; dissolving a material comprising calcium using the acid to produce ions comprising calcium; precipitating calcium hydroxide from the ions comprising calcium using the base in a region of a reactor with a pH of 10 or higher; and collecting the calcium hydroxide. 2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the material further comprises magnesium. 3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising producing a product comprising the magnesium. 4 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising collecting the product comprising the magnesium. 5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein dissolving the material comprising calcium using the acid to produce ions comprising calcium is in a region of a reactor with a pH of 6 or less. 6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising utilizing the calcium hydroxide in a downstream process. 7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the downstream process comprises at least one of making a construction material, making a chemical, making pulp or paper, treating soil, or making food. 8 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the downstream process comprises making a cement. 9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein utilizing the calcium hydroxide in a downstream process to make a cement comprises mixing the calcium hydroxide with an aluminate, a silicate, and/or a pozzolanic material. 10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein utilizing the calcium hydroxide in a downstream process to make a cement comprises mixing the calcium hydroxide with the silicate. 11 . The method of claim 9 , wherein utilizing the calcium hydroxide in a downstream process to make a cement comprises mixing the calcium hydroxide with the pozzolanic material. 12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein utilizing the calcium hydroxide in a downstream process to make a cement comprises converting the calcium hydroxide into calcium oxide. 13 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising mixing the cement with water and an additive to form a concrete. 14 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the cement comprises Pozzolan cement. 15 . A method of producing calcium hydroxide, comprising: dissolving a material comprising calcium using an acid to produce ions comprising calcium; precipitating calcium hydroxide from the ions comprising calcium using a base in a region of a reactor with a pH of 10 or higher; and collecting the calcium hydroxide. 16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein dissolving the material comprising calcium using the acid to produce ions comprising calcium is in a region of a reactor with a pH of 6 or less. 17 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the material further comprises magnesium. 18 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising producing a product comprising the magnesium. 19 . The method of claim 18 , further comprising collecting the product comprising the magnesium. 20 . The method of claim 15 , further comprising utilizing the calcium hydroxide in a downstream process.
