Features for loading, transporting and unloading of items are disclosed. Systems, devices and methods for such operations using a tray are described. In some embodiments, a tray having a moveable bottom allows for switching between a configuration for loading and unloading items in and out of the tray and a configuration for transportation of items inside the tray. The trays may also be stacked, for transportation of multiple trays at once, and nested, for saving space when storing the trays. In some embodiments, the trays may be used in conjunction with loading and unloading systems.

What is claimed is: 1 . A tray comprising: a wall comprising a track connected to an inner surface of the wall, the track extending from a bottom portion of the wall to a top portion of the wall; and a moveable bottom having a first end and a second end, the moveable bottom moveable between a first position and a second position, wherein the first end has a bracket attached thereto, the bracket comprising: a body; and one or more projections extending beyond an end of the body and into the track; wherein with the movable bottom in the first position, the one or more projections extend into the track proximate the bottom portion of the wall, and wherein with the movable bottom in the second position, the one or more projections extends into the track proximate the top portion of the wall, and wherein the one or more projections are slidable with the track as the moveable bottom moves between the first position and the second position. 2 . The tray of claim 1 , wherein the track comprises a slot, and wherein the slot extends at an angle along the inner surface of wall such that the slot is nearer the wall proximate the top portion of the wall and farther from the wall proximate the bottom portion of the wall. 3 . The tray of claim 2 , wherein the one or more projections is configured to extend into the slot of the track. 4 . The tray of claim 1 , wherein the bracket is attached to the first end of the movable bottom such that the one or more projections extend beyond an edge of the moveable bottom. 5 . The tray of claim 1 , further comprising a bottom surface connected to the wall, and wherein the second end of the moveable bottom is unfixed with regard to the bottom surface. 6 . The tray of claim 1 , wherein the a second end of the moveable bottom comprises a plurality of fingers. 7 . The tray of claim 1 , wherein the tray is configured to be received in a tray unloading apparatus, the tray unloading apparatus comprising an arm having a plurality of fingers, the plurality of fingers on the arm are complementary to the plurality of fingers on the moveable bottom. 8 . The tray of claim 7 , wherein the body of the bracket is attached to a bottom surface of the moveable bottom. 9 . The tray of claim 1 , wherein the wall further comprises a top edge, wherein with the moveable bottom in the second position the first end of the moveable bottom is proximate the top edge of the wall. 10 . The tray of claim 1 , wherein the second end of the moveable bottom moves relative to the bottom surface of the tray as the first end of the moveable bottom moves between the first position and second position. 11 . A method comprising: positioning a moveable bottom within a tray, the tray comprising a wall having a track formed thereon, the track extending from a bottom portion of the wall to a top portion of the wall, the moveable bottom having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end has a bracket attached thereto, the bracket comprising one or more projections extending into the track; moving the moveable bottom from a first position within the tray to a second position within the tray, thereby moving the one or more projections within the track from a position proximate the bottom portion of the wall to a position proximate the top portion of the wall. 12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein when the moveable bottom is in the first position, the moveable bottom forms a planar surface with the unloading surface. 13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein moving the moveable bottom comprises applying a force to the tray such that the tray moves relative to the moveable bottom. 14 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising moving an item positioned on the moveable bottom onto an unloading surface of an item sorting apparatus. 15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein moving the first item comprises contacting the item with an arm proximate the second end of the moveable bottom to move the item on the planar surface. 16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the second end of the moveable bottom comprises one or more fingers extending therefrom. 17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the arm comprises a plurality of fingers configured complementary to the one or more fingers of the moveable bottom. 18 . The method of claim 17 , moving the item positioned on the moveable bottom onto an unloading surface comprises moving the plurality of fingers of the arm through the complementary shaped one or more fingers of the moveable bottom. 19 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the second end of the moveable bottom is not connected to the tray, and moving the moveable bottom from a first position within the tray to a second position within the tray moves the second end of the moveable bottom relative to the tray. 20 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the wall further comprises a top edge, wherein moving the moveable bottom to a position proximate the top portion of the wall comprises positioning the first end of the moveable bottom flush with the top edge of the wall.
