A medicament delivery system for use with medicament delivery device includes a support member, a compression member spaced from the support member to define a gap therebetween, a mechanical coupling between the support member and the compression member comprising a plurality of connecting members extending between the support member and the compression member, and a biasing element connected to the compression member and configured to exert a rotational force on the compression member relative to the support member. The mechanical coupling is configured such that rotation of the compression member relative to the support member causes the compression member to be drawn towards the support member to reduce the gap therebetween.

A method of delivering a medicament via a medicament delivery system, the method comprising: releasing a locking mechanism of a medicament delivery system to cause (i) a compression member of the medicament delivery system to rotate relative to a support member of the medicament delivery system and (ii) the compression member to be drawn towards the support member to expel a medicament by reducing a gap defined between the compression member and support member, wherein the compression member is drawn towards the support member by a plurality of connecting members extending between the support member and the compression member, and wherein each of the plurality of connecting members pivots relative to the compression member and the support member when the compression member is drawn towards the support member. 17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the locking mechanism comprises a release button, and releasing the locking mechanism comprises pressing the release button. 18 . The method of claim 16 , comprising prior to releasing the locking mechanism, attaching a contact region of the medical delivery system against skin of a patient at a target location. 19 . The method of claim 18 , comprising moving a needle of the medicament delivery system from a retracted position to an extended position through an aperture of the contact region prior to releasing the locking mechanism. 20 . The method of claim 16 , wherein each of the plurality of connecting members is pivotally connected to the support member and the compression member by a ball and socket coupling. 21 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the plurality of connecting members comprise inextensible rigid rods. 22 . The method of claim 16 , comprising biasing the compressing member towards the support member by a biasing element of the medical delivery system. 23 . The method of claim 22 , wherein the biasing element is coaxially coupled with the compression member. 24 . The method of claim 22 , wherein the biasing element comprises a spiral torsion spring. 25 . The method of claim 24 , wherein the spiral torsion spring is conically shaped. 26 . The method of claim 16 , comprising deforming a collapsible medicament reservoir disposed in the gap between the support member and the compression member when the compression member is drawn towards the support member to expel the medicament. 27 . The method of claim 16 , wherein: the compression member comprises a plurality of sockets, the support member comprises a plurality of sockets, and each of the plurality of connecting members comprises a first ball element retained within a corresponding one of the plurality of sockets of the compression member and a second ball element retained within a corresponding one of the plurality of sockets of the support member. 28 . The method of claim 16 , comprising moving the compression member from a first state to a second state, wherein in the first state, the gap is defined between a planar surface of the compression member and a planar surface of the support member, and the planar surfaces of the compression member and the support member are perpendicular to longitudinal axes of the plurality of connecting members. 29 . The method of claim 28 , wherein in the first state, the support member and the compression member are substantially parallel to one another. 30 . The method of claim 28 , wherein in the second state, the planar surfaces of the compression member and the support member are non-perpendicular to longitudinal axes of the plurality of connecting members. 31 . The method of claim 16 , wherein releasing the locking mechanism of the medicament delivery system causes the compression member to be helically drawn towards the support member. 32 . The method of claim 16 , comprising converting the rotation of the compression member relative to the support member into axial movement of the compression member towards the support member by the plurality of connecting members. 33 . A method of delivering a medicament via a medicament delivery system, the method comprising: releasing a locking mechanism of a medicament delivery system to cause (i) a compression member of the medicament delivery system to rotate relative to a support member of the medicament delivery system and (ii) the compression member to be drawn towards the support member to expel a medicament by reducing a gap defined between the compression member and support member, wherein the compression member is drawn towards the support member by a plurality of connecting members extending between the support member and the compression member, and wherein each connecting member of the plurality of connecting members is movable relative to the support member. 34 . The method of claim 33 , wherein the locking mechanism comprises a release button, and releasing the locking mechanism comprises pressing the release button. 35 . A method of delivering a medicament via a medicament delivery system, the method comprising: releasing a locking mechanism of a medicament delivery system to cause (i) a compression member of the medicament delivery system to rotate relative to a support member of the medicament delivery system about an axis and (ii) the compression member to be drawn towards the support member in a direction along the axis to expel a medicament by reducing a gap defined between the compression member and support member.
