Pipe splitting apparatuses and systems including a replaceable blade, and methods therefor, are provided. In various examples, a pipe splitting apparatus includes an outer surface including a recess. A blade including a portion is disposed within the recess. A hardenable material is disposed within the recess. The hardenable material is configured to flow upon application to fill empty space within the recess and at least partially around the portion of the blade disposed within the recess. The hardenable material is further configured to harden after application to secure the portion of the blade within the recess and fix the blade to the pipe splitting apparatus.

A pipe splitting assembly comprising: an expander cone; a splitter body coupled in front of the expander cone, the splitter body including a cable passage in a front end of the splitter body, wherein the splitter body includes a threaded connection at a front end to couple to a leading cable attachment segment, wherein the cable passage passes through the threaded connection; and one or more splitter blades located along a length of the splitter body and extending radially from the splitter body, the one or more splitter blades including cutting portions. 3 . The pipe splitting assembly of claim 2 , wherein the leading cable attachment segment includes tapered gripping anchors. 4 . The pipe splitting assembly of claim 2 , wherein the one or more splitter blades include removable blades. 5 . The pipe splitting assembly of claim 4 , wherein the removable blades include multiple blades. 6 . The pipe splitting assembly of claim 4 , wherein the removable blades are accessible from a backside of the removable blades through a passage. 7 . The pipe splitting assembly of claim 2 , further including a pneumatic hammer coupled behind the expander cone. 8 . A pipe splitting assembly comprising: an expander cone; a segment cartridge coupled in front of the expander cone, the segment cartridge including a cable passage, wherein the segment cartridge includes a threaded connection at a back end to couple to the expander cone, wherein the cable passage passes through the threaded connection; and a cutter body in front of the segment cartridge, wherein the cutter body includes a central passage sized for a cable to pass through from the cutter body to the segment cartridge. 9 . The pipe splitting assembly of claim 8 , wherein the cutter body is configured to abut a front portion of the segment cartridge, but is not fastened to the segment cartridge. 10 . The pipe splitting assembly of claim 9 , wherein the cutter body is configured to abut the front portion of the segment cartridge along a curved joint. 11 . The pipe splitting assembly of claim 8 , wherein the cutter body includes one or more removable blades. 12 . The pipe splitting assembly of claim 11 , wherein the cutter body includes multiple blades. 13 . The pipe splitting assembly of claim 12 , wherein the cutter body includes four blades. 14 . The pipe splitting assembly of claim 8 , further including a pneumatic hammer coupled behind the expander cone.
