Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for wireless communications. Wireless devices may have different capabilities for uplink cancelation. A base station may communicate with a wireless device to determine a capability, of the wireless device, for uplink cancelation. The wireless device may receive downlink control information indicating, based on the determined capability for uplink cancelation, an uplink cancelation.

First claim

Opening claim text (preview).

1 . A method comprising: receiving, by a wireless device, a request for at least one capability parameter of the wireless device; sending, based on the request, a capability parameter indicating that cancelation of uplink transmission is supported; and after sending the capability parameter, receiving a radio resource control (RRC) message comprising one or more parameters associated with downlink control information (DCI) for uplink cancelation indication. 2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein: the receiving the RRC message comprises receiving at least one RRC message comprising a configuration of uplink cancelation indication of a DCI format associated with uplink cancelation, the configuration of uplink cancelation indication indicates an association between each uplink cancelation indicator of the DCI and a cell of a plurality of cells, and one or more uplink cancelation indicators, of the DCI, comprises: a first uplink cancelation indicator associated with a first cell of the plurality of cells; and a second uplink cancelation indicator associated with a second cell of the plurality of cells. 3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein: the receiving the request comprises receiving the request from a base station via a second RRC message; the sending the capability parameter comprises sending the capability parameter to the base station via a third RRC message; and the receiving the RRC message comprises receiving the RRC message from the base station. 4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: sending, via an uplink shared channel, a first portion of uplink data; receiving the DCI, wherein the DCI comprises one or more uplink cancelation indicators that indicate at least one of: stopping uplink transmission; or canceling scheduled uplink transmission; and based on the DCI, not sending a second portion of the uplink data, wherein the one or more uplink cancelation indicators further indicate at least one uplink resource is preempted for another wireless device. 5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein: the receiving the RRC message comprises receiving at least one RRC message comprising: a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) associated with uplink cancelation; and a configuration of uplink cancelation indication of a DCI format associated with uplink cancelation; and the method further comprises: receiving the DCI; determining, based on the RNTI associated with uplink cancelation, that the DCI indicates uplink cancelation; and skipping, based on the determining that the DCI indicates uplink cancelation, transmission of a first uplink message via at least one uplink resource. 6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: sending, based on the request, a second capability parameter indicating that downlink preemption is not supported, and receiving, after sending the capability parameter and the second capability parameter, a control message comprising a first radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) for reception of an uplink cancelation indication, wherein the control message does not comprise a second RNTI for reception of a downlink preemption indication, and wherein the control message indicates at least one control channel parameter, for receiving the DCI, comprising at least one of: a control resource set; or a search space. 7 . A method comprising: sending, by a base station, a request for at least one capability parameter of a wireless device; receiving, based on the request, a capability parameter indicating that cancelation of uplink transmission is supported; and after receiving the capability parameter, sending a radio resource control (RRC) message comprising one or more parameters associated with downlink control information (DCI) for uplink cancelation indication. 8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein: the sending the RRC message comprises sending at least one RRC message comprising a configuration of uplink cancelation indication of a DCI format associated with uplink cancelation, the configuration of uplink cancelation indication indicates an association between each uplink cancelation indicator of the DCI and a cell of a plurality of cells, and one or more uplink cancelation indicators, of the DCI, comprises: a first uplink cancelation indicator associated with a first cell of the plurality of cells; and a second uplink cancelation indicator associated with a second cell of the plurality of cells. 9 . The method of claim 7 , wherein: the sending the request comprises sending the request to the wireless device via a second RRC message; the receiving the capability parameter comprises receiving the capability parameter from the wireless device via a third RRC message; and the sending the RRC message comprises sending the RRC message to the wireless device. 10 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising: receiving, via an uplink shared channel, a first portion of uplink data; sending the DCI, wherein the DCI comprises one or more uplink cancelation indicators that indicate at least one of: stopping uplink transmission; or canceling scheduled uplink transmission; and based on the DCI, skipping reception of a second portion of the uplink data, wherein the one or more uplink cancelation indicators further indicate at least one uplink resource is preempted for another wireless device. 11 . The method of claim 7 , wherein: the sending the RRC message comprises sending at least one RRC message comprising: a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) associated with uplink cancelation; and a configuration of uplink cancelation indication of a DCI format associated with uplink cancelation; and the method further comprises: sending the DCI; scrambling, based on the RNTI associated with uplink cancelation, the DCI; and skipping reception of a first uplink message via at least one uplink resource. 12 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising: receiving, based on the request, a second capability parameter indicating that downlink preemption is not supported, and sending, after receiving the capability parameter and the second capability parameter, a control message comprising a first radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) for reception of an uplink cancelation indication, wherein the control message does not comprise a second RNTI for reception of a downlink preemption indication, and wherein the control message indicates at least one control channel parameter, for receiving the DCI, comprising at least one of: a control resource set; or a search space. 13 . A wireless device comprising: one or more processors; and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to: receive a request for at least one capability parameter of the wireless device; send, based on the request, a capability parameter indicating that cancelation of uplink transmission is supported; and after sending the capability parameter, receive a radio resource control (RRC) message comprising one or more parameters associated with downlink control information (DCI) for uplink cancelation indication. 14 . The wireless device of claim 13 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to: receive the RRC message by receiving at least one RRC message comprising a configuration of uplink cancelation indication of a DCI format associated with uplink cancelation, wherein the configuration of uplink cancelation indication indicates an association between each uplink cancelation indicator of the DCI and a cell of a plurality of cells, and
