Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media of configuring digital currency nodes utilizing a one-tier model or two-tier model. One method includes transmitting, via an application provider system, an installation request including authentication information, downloading, by the user device, a digital wallet application, and installing, by the user device, the digital wallet application based on one or more system requirements, wherein installing includes verifying the user device meets the one or more system requirements, generating a public and private key pair, hardening the user device, storing and configuring the digital wallet application, and authenticating the digital wallet application. The method further includes establishing, via a private network, a private network connection associated with digital currency issuance. Another method includes transmitting a registration request, receiving a software package including a software appliance and executable code, installing the software appliance and establishing a private network connection associated with digital currency issuance.

What is claimed is: 1 . A method of configuring digital currency nodes utilizing a one-tier model, the method comprising: transmitting, by a user device via an application provider system, an installation request comprising authentication information; downloading, by the user device, a digital wallet application; installing, by the user device, the digital wallet application based on one or more system requirements, wherein installing comprises: verifying the user device meets the one or more system requirements, wherein the one or more system requirements comprises at least a hardware requirement; generating a public and private key pair associated with the digital wallet application; hardening the user device comprising at least one of: scanning and removing an installed application or a stored file; testing one or more network connections; or updating an operating system of the user device; in response to successfully hardening the user device, storing and configuring the digital wallet application on the user device, wherein the digital wallet application is configured to perform digital currency exchanges utilizing the public and private key pair; authenticating the digital wallet application with a financial computing system based on the public key of the public and private key pair; and in response to installing the digital wallet application, establishing, by the user device via a private network, a private network connection associated with digital currency issuance. 2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: automatically syncing, by the user device in real-time via the private network, data of the digital wallet application with a digital wallet database of the processing circuit. 3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein establishing the private network connection is further in response to authenticating a login by the user device into the digital wallet application. 4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the digital wallet application is a virtual appliance comprising a pre-configured virtual machine image (VMI), and wherein the digital wallet application comprises virtual machine monitor (VMM) code configured to execute the virtual appliance. 5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the private network is a virtual private network (VPN) without a publicly accessible endpoint or internet routable internet protocol (IP) address, and wherein the virtual appliance of the user device is assigned a private IP address. 6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the public and private key pair is used in signing and verifying digital currency exchanges utilizing the digital wallet application, and wherein authenticating the digital wallet application further comprising cross-referencing a certificate system storing a plurality of public keys. 7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user device is a node of a plurality of nodes on the private network, and wherein the private network connection is on a parent network of a plurality of user devices. 8 . A system comprising: at least one processing circuit having at least one processor coupled to at least one memory, the at least one processing circuit configured to: transmit an installation request comprising authentication information; download a digital wallet application; install the digital wallet application based on one or more system requirements, wherein installing comprises: verifying the user device meets the one or more system requirements, wherein the one or more system requirements comprises at least a hardware requirement; generating a public and private key pair associated with the digital wallet application; hardening the user device comprising at least one of: scanning and removing an installed application or a stored file; testing one or more network connections; or updating an operating system of the user device; in response to successfully hardening the user device, storing and configuring the digital wallet application on the user device, wherein the digital wallet application is configured to perform digital currency exchanges utilizing the public and private key pair; authenticating the digital wallet application with a financial computing system based on the public key of the public and private key pair; and in response to installing the digital wallet application, establish, by the user device via a private network, a private network connection associated with digital currency issuance. 9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the user device automatically syncs, in real-time via the private network, data of the digital wallet application with a digital wallet database of the processing circuit. 10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein establishing the private network connection is further in response to authenticating a login by the user device into the digital wallet application. 11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the digital wallet application is a virtual appliance comprising a pre-configured virtual machine image (VMI), and wherein the digital wallet application comprises virtual machine monitor (VMM) code configured to execute the virtual appliance. 12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the private network is a virtual private network (VPN) without a publicly accessible endpoint or internet routable internet protocol (IP) address, and wherein the virtual appliance of the user device is assigned a private IP address. 13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the public and private key pair is used in signing and verifying digital currency exchanges utilizing the digital wallet application, and wherein authenticating the digital wallet application further comprising cross-referencing a certificate system storing a plurality of public keys. 14 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the user device is a node of a plurality of nodes on the private network, and wherein the private network connection is on a parent network of a plurality of user devices. 15 . At least one non-transitory processor-readable medium comprising processor-readable instructions, such that when executed by at least one processing circuit having at least one processor coupled to at least one memory, causes the at least one processing circuit to: transmit an installation request comprising authentication information; download a digital wallet application; install the digital wallet application based on one or more system requirements, wherein installing comprises: verifying the user device meets the one or more system requirements, wherein the one or more system requirements comprises at least a hardware requirement; generating a public and private key pair associated with the digital wallet application; hardening the user device comprising at least one of: scanning and removing an installed application or a stored file; testing one or more network connections; or updating an operating system of the user device; in response to successfully hardening the user device, storing and configuring the digital wallet application on the user device, wherein the digital wallet application is configured to perform digital currency exchanges utilizing the public and private key pair; authenticating the digital wallet application with a financial computing system based on the public key of the public and private key pair; and in response to installing the digital wallet application, establish, by the user device via a private network, a private network connection associated with digital currency issuance. 16 . The non-transitory processor-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the user device automatically
