What is claimed is: 1 . An ice maker comprising: a first assembly comprising a first tray defining a plurality of first chambers recessed in a first direction; and a second assembly comprising a second tray defining a plurality of second chambers recessed in a second direction opposite to the first direction, wherein the second assembly pivots with respect to the first assembly between a closed position where the first tray and the second tray contact each other and an open position where the first tray and the second tray are spaced apart from each other, wherein the first tray comprising a chamber wall being integrally formed and forming the plurality of first chambers so that the plurality of first chambers are independent of each other, wherein the second tray comprising a side wall extending in the first direction along an outer end of a surface of the second tray, in contact with the first tray in the closed position, and accommodating the chamber wall in the closed position, wherein the chamber wall comprises a first curved wall being rounded in a direction farther away from the first chamber, wherein the side wall comprises a second curved wall facing the first curved wall in the closed position and having a second curvature corresponding to a first curvature of the first curved wall, wherein a pivoting axis of the second tray is coupled and fixed to the first assembly and the second assembly so as to be located outside of the second curved wall, and wherein the pivoting axis of the second tray is positioned to be spaced apart from a contact surface between the first tray and the second tray in the second direction.
