Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Devices, methods, and graphical interfaces for content applications displayed in an XR environment provide for an efficient and intuitive user experience. In some embodiments, a content application is displayed in a three-dimensional computer-generated environment. In some embodiments, different viewing modes and user interfaces are available for a content application in a three-dimensional computer-generated environment. In some embodiments, different interactions are available with content items displayed in the XR environment.

1 . A method comprising: at an electronic device in communication with a display and one or more input devices: presenting, via the display, an XR environment including a first user interface element including a first plurality of content items in a first region of the XR environment and including a second user interface element including a second plurality of content items in a second region of the XR environment; while presenting the XR environment, detecting, via the one or more input devices, a first scrolling input; in response to the first scrolling input: updating an appearance of the first user interface element; and moving the second user interface element from the second region of the XR environment to the first region of the XR environment. 2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein updating the appearance of the first user interface element comprises displacing the first user interface element within the first region. 3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein updating the appearance of the first user interface element comprises collapsing the first user interface element and displaying fewer of the first plurality of content items in the first user interface element than displayed within the first user interface element prior to the first scrolling input. 4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein updating the appearance of the first user interface element comprises displacing the first user interface element from the first region to a third region, the second region and the third region disposed on opposite sides of the first region. 5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: while presenting the XR environment, detecting, via the one or more input devices, a second scrolling input; and in response to the second scrolling input: updating an appearance of the second user interface element. 6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein updating the appearance of the second user interface element comprises displacing the second user interface element within the first region. 7 . The method of claim 5 , wherein updating the appearance of the second user interface element comprises expanding the second user interface element in the first region and displaying more content items than of the second plurality of content items in the second user interface element than displayed within the second user interface element prior to the second scrolling input. 8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first region is at a first depth with the XR environment and the second region is at a second depth within the XR environment, different form the first depth. 9 . An electronic device comprising: a display; one or more input devices; one or more processors configured for: presenting, via the display, an XR environment including a first user interface element including a first plurality of content items in a first region of the XR environment and including a second user interface element including a second plurality of content items in a second region of the XR environment; while presenting the XR environment, detecting, via the one or more input devices, a first scrolling input; in response to the first scrolling input: updating an appearance of the first user interface element; and moving the second user interface element from the second region of the XR environment to the first region of the XR environment. 10 . The electronic device of claim 9 , wherein updating the appearance of the first user interface element comprises displacing the first user interface element within the first region. 11 . The electronic device of claim 9 , wherein updating the appearance of the first user interface element comprises collapsing the first user interface element and displaying fewer of the first plurality of content items in the first user interface element than displayed within the first user interface element prior to the first scrolling input. 12 . The electronic device of claim 9 , wherein updating the appearance of the first user interface element comprises displacing the first user interface element from the first region to a third region, the second region and the third region disposed on opposite sides of the first region. 13 . The electronic device of claim 9 , further comprising: while presenting the XR environment, detecting, via the one or more input devices, a second scrolling input; and in response to the second scrolling input: updating an appearance of the second user interface element. 14 . The electronic device of claim 13 , wherein updating the appearance of the second user interface element comprises displacing the second user interface element within the first region. 15 . The electronic device of claim 13 , wherein updating the appearance of the second user interface element comprises expanding the second user interface element in the first region and displaying more content items than of the second plurality of content items in the second user interface element than displayed within the second user interface element prior to the second scrolling input. 16 . The electronic device of claim 9 , wherein the first region is at a first depth with the XR environment and the second region is at a second depth within the XR environment, different form the first depth. 17 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing instructions, which when executed by one or more processors of an electronic device including a display and one or more input devices, cause the electronic device to: present, via the display, an XR environment including a first user interface element including a first plurality of content items in a first region of the XR environment and including a second user interface element including a second plurality of content items in a second region of the XR environment; while presenting the XR environment, detect, via the one or more input devices, a first scrolling input; in response to the first scrolling input: update an appearance of the first user interface element; and move the second user interface element from the second region of the XR environment to the first region of the XR environment. 18 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 17 , wherein updating the appearance of the first user interface element comprises displacing the first user interface element within the first region. 19 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 17 , wherein updating the appearance of the first user interface element comprises collapsing the first user interface element and displaying fewer of the first plurality of content items in the first user interface element than displayed within the first user interface element prior to the first scrolling input. 20 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 17 , wherein updating the appearance of the first user interface element comprises displacing the first user interface element from the first region to a third region, the second region and the third region disposed on opposite sides of the first region.
