Official abstract text for this publication.
A light-emitting device includes a substrate comprising a base member, a first wiring, a second wiring, and a via hole; at least one light-emitting element electrically connected to and disposed on the first wiring; and a covering member having light reflectivity and covering a lateral surface of the light-emitting element and a front surface of the substrate. The base member defines a plurality of depressed portions separated from the via hole in a front view and opening on a back surface and a bottom surface of the base member. The substrate includes a third wiring covering at least one of inner walls of the plurality of depressed portions and electrically connected to the second wiring. A depth of each of the plurality of depressed portions defined from the back surface toward the front surface is larger on a bottom surface side than on an upper surface side of the base member.

What is claimed is: 1 . A light-emitting device comprising: a base member that has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface; a first light-emitting element that has a third surface facing the first surface and a fourth surface opposite to the third surface, the first light-emitting element having an emission peak wavelength in the range of 430 nm to less than 490 nm; a second light-emitting element that has a fifth surface facing the first surface and a sixth surface opposite to the fifth surface, the second light-emitting element having an emission peak wavelength in the range of 490 nm to less than 570 nm; and a light-transmissive member that covers the fourth surface, the light-transmissive member including a first wavelength conversion substance that emits green light and a second wavelength conversion substance that emits red light. 2 . The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the base member has a seventh surface located between the first surface and the second surface and includes a depressed portion that opens on the second surface and the seventh surface. 3 . The light-emitting device according to claim 2 , wherein the base member includes a first wiring disposed on the first surface, a second wiring disposed on the second surface, and a via hole that electrically connects the first wiring and the second wiring, and the via hole is separated from the depressed portion as seen from the second surface. 4 . The light-emitting device according to claim 2 , wherein in a sectional view, the depressed portion includes an inclined portion inclined from the seventh surface toward a direction in which a thickness of the base member increases. 5 . The light-emitting device according to claim 4 , wherein in the sectional view, the depressed portion includes a parallel portion extending in a direction parallel to the seventh surface. 6 . The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the light-transmissive member covers the sixth surface. 7 . The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the first wavelength conversion substance includes a β-SiAlON phosphor. 8 . The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the second wavelength conversion substance has a composition represented by a general formula A 2 MF 6 :Mn 4+ , wherein A is at least one selected from the group consisting of K, Li, Na, Rb, Cs, and NH 4+ , and M is at least one element selected from the group consisting of the group IV elements and the group XIV elements. 9 . The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the first light-emitting element has an eighth surface located between the third surface and the fourth surface, the second light-emitting element has a ninth surface located between the fifth surface and the sixth surface, and the light-emitting device further comprises a light-guiding member that covers the eighth surface and the ninth surface, the light-guiding member being separated from the base member. 10 . The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the first light-emitting element has an eighth surface located between the third surface and the fourth surface, the second light-emitting element has a ninth surface located between the fifth surface and the sixth surface, and the light-emitting device further comprises a covering member that covers the first surface, the eighth surface, and the ninth surface. 11 . The light-emitting device according to claim 10 , wherein the covering member is in contact with the first surface, the third surface, and the fifth surface. 12 . The light-emitting device according to claim 10 , wherein the covering member covers the third surface and the fifth surface, and in a sectional view, a maximum thickness of a portion of the covering member located between the first light-emitting element and the second light-emitting element is larger than a maximum thickness of another portion of the covering member covering the third surface, and is larger than a maximum thickness of yet another portion of the covering member covering the fifth surface.
