A display control apparatus comprising a controller configured to superimpose a first image on a right-side edge region or a left-side edge region of a first video image of a rear area behind a vehicle depending on a position of a first object when a distance between the vehicle and the first object present at right rear side or left rear side of the vehicle decreases while the vehicle is moving at a moving speed smaller than a reference value, and superimpose a second image in a display mode different from the first image on the first video when a distance between the vehicle and a second object behind the vehicle becomes less than a predetermined threshold while the vehicle is moving.

A display control apparatus comprising: a controller configured to superimpose a first image on a right-side edge region or a left-side edge region of a first video image of a rear area behind a vehicle depending on a position of a first object when a distance between the vehicle and the first object present at right rear side or left rear side of the vehicle decreases while the vehicle is moving at a moving speed smaller than a reference value, and superimpose a second image in a display mode different from the first image on the first video when a distance between the vehicle and a second object behind the vehicle becomes less than a predetermined threshold while the vehicle is moving. 2 . The display control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to superimpose the first image on the right-side edge region or left-side edge region of the first video depending on the position of the first object that exists outside the range of the first video. 3 . The display control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to change color of the second image depending on the distance from the vehicle to the second object.
