Described are leg assemblies for a passenger seat having a forward leg, an aft leg, and a central link that connects the forward leg and the aft leg. The forward leg may include a forward connecting feature and may be adapted to receive a first base frame tube of the passenger seat. The aft leg may include an aft connecting feature and may be adapted to receive a second base frame tube of the passenger seat. The aft connecting feature may include a cavity defined in the aft leg. The central link may be pivotably connected to the forward connecting feature and to the aft connecting feature. The central link may extend at least partially into the cavity in the aft leg.

That which is claimed is: 1 . A leg assembly for a passenger seat, the leg assembly comprising: a forward leg comprising a forward connecting feature, wherein the forward leg is adapted to receive a first base frame tube of the passenger seat; an aft leg comprising an aft connecting feature, wherein the aft leg is adapted to receive a second base frame tube of the passenger seat, and wherein the aft connecting feature comprises a cavity defined in the aft leg; and a central link connecting the forward leg and the aft leg, wherein the central link is pivotably connected to the forward connecting feature and pivotably connected to the aft connecting feature, and wherein the central link extends at least partially into the cavity in the aft leg. 2 . The leg assembly of claim 1 , wherein the forward leg comprises a forward side and an aft side opposite the forward side, and wherein the forward connecting feature extends outwards from the aft side of the forward leg. 3 . The leg assembly of claim 2 , wherein the forward connecting feature comprises a slot, and wherein the central link extends at least partially into the slot of the forward leg. 4 . The leg assembly of claim 1 , wherein the central link extends along a 16 g load path of the leg assembly. 5 . The leg assembly of claim 1 , wherein the forward leg comprises a first material and the central link comprises a second material different from the first material. 6 . The leg assembly of claim 5 , wherein the first material comprises an aluminum alloy, and wherein the second material comprises a magnesium alloy. 7 . The leg assembly of claim 5 , wherein the aft leg comprises the first material. 8 . The leg assembly of claim 1 , wherein the aft leg comprises a forward side and an aft side opposite from the forward side, and wherein the cavity is defined in the forward side of the aft leg. 9 . The leg assembly of claim 8 , wherein the aft side comprises an arcuate profile such that a top end of the aft leg is offset from a bottom end of the aft leg in a vertical and horizontal direction. 10 . The leg assembly of claim 1 , further comprising a first connector pivotably connecting the central link with the forward connecting feature and a second connector pivotably connecting the central link with the aft connecting feature. 11 . The leg assembly of claim 1 , wherein the forward leg comprises a forward base frame tube aperture adapted to receive the first base frame tube of the passenger seat, and wherein the aft leg comprises an aft base frame tube aperture adapted to receive the second base frame tube of the passenger seat. 12 . The leg assembly of claim 1 , wherein the forward connecting feature is at a vertical position above a vertical position of the aft connecting feature such that the central link is angled downwards from the forward leg to the aft leg. 13 . The leg assembly of claim 1 , wherein a cross section of the central link is different from a cross section of the forward leg. 14 . A passenger seat comprising the leg assembly of claim 1 , a first base frame tube supported by the forward leg, and a second base frame tube supported by the aft leg. 15 . A method of assembling the leg assembly of claim 1 , the method comprising: manufacturing the forward leg; manufacturing the central link; manufacturing the aft leg; and pivotably connecting the central link with the forward leg and the aft leg, wherein manufacturing the forward leg or the central link comprises machining in only two directions. 16 . A leg assembly for a passenger seat, the leg assembly comprising: a forward leg comprising a forward connecting feature, wherein the forward leg is adapted to receive a first base frame tube of the passenger seat; an aft leg comprising an aft connecting feature, wherein the aft leg is adapted to receive a second base frame tube of the passenger seat; and a central link connecting the forward leg and the aft leg, wherein the central link is pivotably connected to the forward connecting feature and pivotably connected to the aft connecting feature, and wherein the central link extends along a 16 g load path of the leg assembly. 17 . The leg assembly of claim 16 , wherein the aft connecting feature comprises a cavity defined in the aft leg, and wherein the central link extends at least partially into the cavity in the aft leg. 18 . A leg assembly for a passenger seat, the leg assembly comprising: a forward leg comprising a forward connecting feature, wherein the forward leg is adapted to receive a first base frame tube of the passenger seat; an aft leg comprising an aft connecting feature, wherein the aft leg is adapted to receive a second base frame tube of the passenger seat, wherein the aft connecting feature is at a vertical position lower than a vertical position of the forward connecting feature; and a central link connecting the forward leg and the aft leg, wherein the central link is pivotably connected to the forward connecting feature and pivotably connected to the aft connecting feature, and wherein the central link extends in a downward direction from the forward leg to the aft leg. 19 . The leg assembly of claim 18 , wherein the aft connecting feature comprises a cavity defined in the aft leg, and wherein the central link extends at least partially into the cavity in the aft leg. 20 . The leg assembly of claim 18 , wherein the forward leg comprises a forward side and an aft side opposite the forward side, wherein the forward connecting feature extends outwards from the aft side of the forward leg, wherein the forward connecting feature comprises a slot, and wherein the central link extends at least partially into the slot of the forward leg.
