Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An apparatus is described, the apparatus including a case, a display assembly, a chassis connected to the display assembly, a suspension component between the display assembly and the case, wherein the suspension component is configured to allow the display assembly to move relative to the case, at least one vibrating element configured to actuate the chassis to move the display assembly relative to the case to generate at least one of acoustic waves or haptic/tactile effect, and an internal cavity below the display, wherein electronic components of the apparatus are located at the internal cavity.

1 - 23 . (canceled) 24 . A method, comprising: providing a case; providing a display assembly; connecting the display assembly to the case with a suspension component, wherein the suspension component controls movement of the display assembly; allowing the display to move with respect to the case based on the suspension component; providing at least one vibrating element to move the display assembly relative to the case to generate at least one of acoustic waves or haptic/tactile effect, wherein the case, the display assembly, the flexible gasket, and the at least one vibrating element at least partially form a speaker; and providing at least one electronic component within an internal cavity of the speaker located below the display. 25 . The method of claim 24 , further comprising providing a display frame within which the display assembly is located, wherein the display frame couples the display assembly to the suspension component. 26 . The method of claim 24 , further coupling the internal cavity to an outside of the case with at least one hole to permit equalization of internal pressure and external pressure of the speaker. 27 . The method of claim 24 , wherein connecting the display assembly to the case with a suspension component comprises at least one of: coupling the suspension component at one end to the case and at another end to the display assembly, wherein the suspension component suspends the display assembly relative to the case with a bending force of the suspension component; or coupling the suspension component at one end to the case and at another end to the display assembly with a resilient folded surface that suspends the display assembly relative to the case with the bending force of the resilient folded surface. 28 . The method of claim 24 , wherein the suspension component is a flexible gasket comprising at least one of: a first support part configured to lock the flexible gasket position within the speaker so as to provide a fixed suspension in the direction of movement of the display assembly; or a second support part configured to form a part of the display support. 29 . The method of claim 28 , wherein the second support is configured to form a display frame within which the display assembly is located. 30 . The method of claim 24 , wherein allowing the display to move with respect to the case based on the suspension component comprises allowing motion of the display assembly in at least one direction and mechanically limiting the motion of the display assembly in the at least one direction. 31 . The method of claim 24 , further comprising at least one of: providing a radio frequency transmitter within the speaker; providing a radio frequency receiver within the speaker; or providing a cellular engine within the speaker. 32 . The method of claim 24 , wherein the at least one vibrating element is configured to actuate the display assembly with at least one of: a direct coupling between the vibrating element and the display assembly; or an indirect coupling between the vibrating element and the display assembly. 33 . The method of claim 24 , further comprising providing a chassis connected to the display assembly, the chassis being actuatable with the at least one vibrating element to move the display assembly. 34 . A method, comprising: providing a case; providing a display assembly; connecting the display assembly to the case with a flexible element; allowing the display assembly to move with respect to the case based on the flexible element; providing at least one vibrating element to move the display assembly relative to the case to generate at least one of acoustic waves or haptic/tactile effect; providing at least one electronic component within an internal cavity located below the display assembly; and driving the at least one vibrating element to allow the flexible element to control the movement of the display assembly; wherein an interaction of the case, the display assembly, the flexible gasket, and the at least one vibrating element at least partially form a speaker; and wherein the speaker forms at least one of a transceiver or a receiver. 35 . The method of claim 34 , further comprising providing a display frame within which the display assembly is located, wherein the display frame couples the display assembly to the flexible element. 36 . The method of claim 34 , further comprising coupling the internal cavity and an outside of the case with a hole to permit equalization of internal and external pressure of the speaker. 37 . The Method of claim 34 , further comprising at least one of: coupling the flexible element at one end to the case and at another end to the display assembly, wherein the flexible element suspends the display assembly relative to the case with a bending force of the flexible element; or suspending the display assembly relative to the case with a bending force of a resilient folded surface. 38 . The method of claim 34 , wherein a display support of the apparatus allows motion of the display assembly in at least one direction and mechanically limits the motion of the display assembly in the at least one direction. 39 . The method of claim 34 , further comprising actuating the display assembly with at least one of: directly coupling the vibrating element and the display assembly; or indirectly coupling the vibrating element and the display assembly. 40 . The method of claim 34 , further comprising providing a chassis connected to the display assembly, the chassis being actuatable with the at least one vibrating element to move the display assembly. 41 . The method of 40 , further comprising providing an airgap between the display assembly and the chassis, wherein the at least one vibrating element moves the display assembly relative to the case to generate a haptic feedback. 42 . A method, comprising: providing a case; providing a display assembly; connecting the display assembly to the case with a gasket; allowing the display assembly to move with respect to the case based on the gasket; providing at least one vibrating element to actuate the display assembly to generate at least one of: acoustic waves a haptic effect or a tactile effect; providing at least one electronic component within an internal cavity located below the display assembly; and driving the at least one vibrating element to allow the gasket to control the movement of the display assembly; wherein an interaction of the case, the display assembly, the gasket, and the at least one vibrating element at least partially form a speaker; and wherein the speaker forms at least one of a transceiver or a receiver. 43 . The method of claim 42 , wherein the gasket comprises a first gasket portion formed of a first material and a second gasket portion positioned on an outer surface of the first gasket portion and formed of a second material that is softer than the first material.
