Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Novel techniques are disclosed for enabling customizable consoles of different virtual private label clouds (vPLCs). In some embodiments, one console server may execute multiple consoles for multiple vPLCs and CSP. In other embodiments, one console server may be dedicated to a vPLC-specific console. In certain embodiments, console customization including a customized set of console user interfaces (UIs) may be performed for each vPLC-specific console.

First claim

What is claimed is: 1 . A method, comprises: using a first portion of cloud service provider (CSP)-provided infrastructure in a first region to provide one or more CSP-offered cloud services to one or more customers of the CSP; creating a first virtual private label cloud (vPLC) for a first reseller based upon the CSP-provided infrastructure, wherein creating the first vPLC comprises allocating a second portion of the CSP-provided infrastructure to the first vPLC; using the first vPLC to provide one or more first reseller-offered cloud services to one or more customers of the first reseller; providing, using the CSP-provided infrastructure, a first console for the one or more customers of the CSP, the first console comprising a first set of user interfaces (UIs); and providing, using the CSP-provided infrastructure, a second console for the one or more customers of the first reseller, the second console comprising a second set of user interfaces; wherein the second console is different from the first console. 2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first console is executed by a first server and the second console is executed by a second server that is different from the first server. 3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first console and the second console are executed by the same server. 4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first set of UIs comprises UIs customized for the CSP; and wherein the second set of UIs comprises UIs customized for the first reseller. 5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first console associated with a first set of endpoints related to the CSP-offered cloud services, and an endpoint in the first set of endpoints is callable via the first console. 6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second console associated with a second set of endpoints related to the first reseller-offered cloud services and an endpoint in the second set of endpoints is callable via the second console. 7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second console is associated with a namespace for the first vPLC. 8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: creating a second vPLC for a second reseller based upon the CSP-provided infrastructure, wherein creating the second vPLC comprises allocating a third portion of the CSP-provided infrastructure to the second vPLC; using the second vPLC to provide one or more second reseller-offered cloud services to one or more customers of the second reseller; and providing, using the CSP-provided infrastructure, a third console for the one or more customers of the second reseller, the third console comprising a third set of UIs; wherein the first console, the second console, and the third console are different. 9 . A system, comprising: one or more processors; and one or more non-transitory computer readable media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors of a computing system, cause the system to: use a first portion of cloud service provider (CSP)-provided infrastructure in a first region to provide one or more CSP-offered cloud services to one or more customers of the CSP; create a first virtual private label cloud (vPLC) for a first reseller based upon the CSP-provided infrastructure, wherein creating the first vPLC comprises allocating a second portion of the CSP-provided infrastructure to the first vPLC; use the first vPLC to provide one or more first reseller-offered cloud services to one or more customers of the first reseller; provide, using the CSP-provided infrastructure, a first console for the one or more customers of the CSP, the first console comprising a first set of user interfaces (UIs); and provide, using the CSP-provided infrastructure, a second console for the one or more customers of the first reseller, the second console comprising a second set of user interfaces; wherein the second console is different from the first console. 10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the first console is executed by a first server and the second console is executed by a second server that is different from the first server. 11 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the first console and the second console are executed by the same server. 12 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the first set of UIs comprises UIs customized for the CSP; and wherein the second set of UIs comprises UIs customized for the first reseller. 13 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the first console associated with a first set of endpoints related to the CSP-offered cloud services, and an endpoint in the first set of endpoints is callable via the first console and wherein the second console associated with a second set of endpoints related to the first reseller-offered cloud services and an endpoint in the second set of endpoints is callable via the second console. 14 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the second console is associated with a namespace for the first vPLC. 15 . A method, comprising: creating a first virtual private label cloud (vPLC) for a first reseller based upon a cloud service provider (CSP)-provided infrastructure in a region, wherein creating the first vPLC comprises allocating a first portion of the CSP-provided infrastructure to the first vPLC; creating a second vPLC for a second reseller based upon the CSP-provided infrastructure, wherein creating the second vPLC comprises allocating a second portion of the CSP-provided infrastructure to the second vPLC; using the first vPLC to provide one or more first reseller-offered cloud services to one or more customers of the first reseller; using the second vPLC to provide one or more second reseller-offered cloud services to one or more customers of the second reseller; providing, using the CSP-provided infrastructure, a first console for the one or more customers of the first reseller, the first console comprising a first set of user interfaces (UIs); and providing, using the CSP-provided infrastructure, a second console for the one or more customers of the second reseller, the second console comprising a second set of user interfaces (UIs); wherein the second console is different from the first console. 16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the first console is executed by a first server and the second console is executed by a second server that is different from the first server. 17 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the first console and the second console are executed by the same server. 18 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the first set of UIs comprises UIs customized for the first reseller; and wherein the second set of UIs comprises UIs customized for the second reseller. 19 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the first console is associated with a namespace for the first vPLC, and the second console is associated with a namespace for the second vPLC. 20 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the first console associated with a first set of endpoints related to the first reseller-offered cloud services and an endpoint in the first set of endpoints is callable via the first console; and wherein the second console associated with a second set of endpoints related to the second reseller-offered cloud services and an endpoint in the second set of endpoints is callable via the second console.
