Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Novel techniques are disclosed that enable the creation of a two-tier marketplace comprising a CSP marketplace and one or more marketplaces for virtual private label clouds (vPLCs). Each marketplace can be created and operated independently. In some embodiments, a publisher may publish a solution offering directly on a vPLC marketplace without involving the CSP marketplace. In other embodiments, a solution offering published on a marketplace may be automatically republished on another marketplace. Yet, in another embodiment, a customer subscribing to a vPLC marketplace can see a composite view of a directly published solution listing and a republished solution listing.

What is claimed is: 1 . A method, comprising: using a first portion of cloud service provider (CSP)-provided infrastructure in a first region to provide one or more CSP-offered cloud services to one or more customers of the CSP; creating a first virtual private label cloud (vPLC) for a first reseller based upon the CSP-provided infrastructure, wherein creating the first vPLC comprises allocating a second portion of the CSP-provided infrastructure to the first vPLC; using the first vPLC to provide one or more first reseller-offered cloud services to one or more customers of the first reseller; creating, using the CSP-provided infrastructure, a first marketplace for providing a first solution listing to the one or more customers of the CSP; and creating, using the first vPLC, a second marketplace for providing a second solution listing to the one or more customers of the first reseller. 2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: publishing the first solution listing by a publisher associated with the first marketplace; and publishing the second solution listing by a publisher associated with the second marketplace. 3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein publishing the first solution listing by the publisher associated with the first marketplace is performed independent of publishing the second solution listing by the publisher associated with the second marketplace. 4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the publisher associated with the first marketplace are the same as the publisher associated with the second marketplace. 5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second solution listing on the second marketplace is a republication of the first solution listing on the first marketplace. 6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first solution listing and the second solution listing are viewable on the second marketplace. 7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second solution listing is uniquely identified by a resource ID and a tenancy ID associated with the tenancy of the first reseller. 8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: creating a second vPLC for a second reseller based upon the CSP-provided infrastructure, wherein creating the second vPLC comprises allocating a third portion of the CSP-provided infrastructure to the second vPLC; using the second vPLC to provide one or more second reseller-offered cloud services to one or more customers of the second reseller; and creating, using the second vPLC, a third marketplace for providing a third solution listing to the one or more customers of the second reseller. 9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising: publishing the third solution listing by a publisher associated with the third marketplace; and wherein the publisher associated with the second marketplace are the same as the publisher associated with the third marketplace. 10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the second solution listing on the second marketplace is a republication of the first solution listing on the first marketplace, and the third solution listing on the third marketplace is a republication of the first solution listing on the first marketplace. 11 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising: using a first portion of cloud service provider (CSP)-provided infrastructure in a first region to provide one or more CSP-offered cloud services to one or more customers of the CSP; creating a first virtual private label cloud (vPLC) for a first reseller based upon the CSP-provided infrastructure, wherein creating the first vPLC comprises allocating a second portion of the CSP-provided infrastructure to the first vPLC; using the first vPLC to provide one or more first reseller-offered cloud services to one or more customers of the first reseller; creating, using the CSP-provided infrastructure, a first marketplace for providing a first solution listing to the one or more customers of the CSP; and creating, using the first vPLC, a second marketplace for providing a second solution listing to the one or more customers of the first reseller. 12 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 11 , further comprising: publishing the first solution listing by a publisher associated with the first marketplace; and publishing the second solution listing by a publisher associated with the second marketplace; wherein publishing the first solution listing by the publisher associated with the first marketplace is performed independent of publishing the second solution listing by the publisher associated with the second marketplace. 13 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 12 , wherein the publisher associated with the first marketplace are the same as the publisher associated with the second marketplace. 14 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the second solution listing on the second marketplace is a republication of the first solution listing on the first marketplace, and the first solution listing and the second solution listing are viewable on the second marketplace. 15 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the second solution listing is uniquely identified by a resource ID and a tenancy ID associated with the tenancy of the first reseller. 16 . A system, comprising: one or more processors; and one or more memories storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to: use a first portion of cloud service provider (CSP)-provided infrastructure in a first region to provide one or more CSP-offered cloud services to one or more customers of the CSP; create a first virtual private label cloud (vPLC) for a first reseller based upon the CSP-provided infrastructure, wherein creating the first vPLC comprises allocating a second portion of the CSP-provided infrastructure to the first vPLC; use the first vPLC to provide one or more first reseller-offered cloud services to one or more customers of the first reseller; create, using the CSP-provided infrastructure, a first marketplace for providing a first solution listing to the one or more customers of the CSP; and create, using the first vPLC, a second marketplace for providing a second solution listing to the one or more customers of the first reseller. 17 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the system is further caused to: publish the first solution listing by a publisher associated with the first marketplace; and publish the second solution listing by a publisher associated with the second marketplace; wherein publishing the first solution listing by the publisher associated with the first marketplace is performed independent of publishing the second solution listing by the publisher associated with the second marketplace. 18 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the second solution listing on the second marketplace is a republication of the first solution listing on the first marketplace, and the first solution listing and the second solution listing are viewable on the second marketplace. 19 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the system is further caused to: create a second vPLC for a second reseller based upon the CSP-provided infrastructure, wherein creating the second vPLC comprises allocating a third portion of the CSP-provided infrastructure to the second vPLC; use the second vPLC to provide one or more secon
