Official abstract text for this publication.
A system described herein may receive a request to bridge an asset from a first distributed ledger to a second distributed ledger. The system may record, to the first distributed ledger, information indicating that the asset is frozen. The first distributed ledger may maintain information indicating that the frozen asset remains associated with an owner of the asset. The system may record, to the second distributed ledger, a bridged version of the asset, and may link the asset to the bridged asset. The system may identify a transfer of the bridged version of the asset to a second owner, and record, to the first distributed ledger and based on the linking of the asset to the bridged asset, information disassociating the first owner from the asset.

1 . A device, comprising: one or more processors configured to: receive a request to bridge an asset from a first distributed ledger to a second distributed ledger, wherein the asset is associated with a first owner; based on the request to bridge the asset: record, to the first distributed ledger, information indicating that the asset is frozen, wherein the first distributed ledger maintains information indicating that the frozen asset remains associated with the first owner; and record, to the second distributed ledger, a bridged version of the asset; perform a linking operation between the asset and the bridged version of the asset, wherein performing the linking operation includes performing at least one of: recording, to the first distributed ledger, first linking information that associates the asset to the bridged version of the asset, the first linking information including an address, associated with the second distributed ledger, with which the bridged version of the asset is associated, or recording, to the second distributed ledger, second linking information that associates the bridged version of the asset to the asset, the second linking information including an address, associated with the first distributed ledger, with which the asset is associated; monitor the second distributed ledger after performing the linking operation between the asset and the bridged version of the asset; identify, based on the monitoring, a particular record, recorded to the second distributed ledger, indicating a transfer of the bridged version of the asset to a second owner; based on identifying the particular record, recorded to the second distributed ledger, indicating the transfer of the bridged version of the asset: identify at least one of the first linking information recorded to the first distributed ledger or the second linking information recorded to the second distributed ledger; and record, to the first distributed ledger, further based on identifying the first linking information or the second linking information, information disassociating the first owner from the asset. 2 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the first distributed ledger is associated with a smart contract that indicates one or more operations based on the asset being associated with the first owner, wherein invoking the smart contract includes performing the one or more operations based on the frozen asset remaining associated with the first owner. 3 . The device of claim 2 , wherein the one or more operations include providing one or more other assets to the first owner. 4 . The device of claim 2 , wherein after the first owner is disassociated from the asset, invoking the smart contract ceases including performing the one or more operations that were based on the asset being associated with the first owner. 5 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the asset includes an Ethereum Request for Comments 721 asset. 6 . The device of claim 1 , wherein recording the information disassociating the first owner from the asset includes performing a burn operation with respect to the asset, wherein the burn operation includes recording information to the first distributed ledger that the asset has been burned. 7 . (canceled) 8 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium, storing a plurality of processor-executable instructions to: receive a request to bridge an asset from a first distributed ledger to a second distributed ledger, wherein the asset is associated with a first owner; based on the request to bridge the asset: record, to the first distributed ledger, information indicating that the asset is frozen, wherein the first distributed ledger maintains information indicating that the frozen asset remains associated with the first owner; and record, to the second distributed ledger, a bridged version of the asset; perform a linking operation between the asset and the bridged version of the asset, wherein performing the linking operation includes performing at least one of: recording, to the first distributed ledger, first linking information that associates the asset to the bridged version of the asset, the first linking information including an address, associated with the second distributed ledger, with which the bridged version of the asset is associated, or recording, to the second distributed ledger, second linking information that associates the bridged version of the asset to the asset, the second linking information including an address, associated with the first distributed ledger, with which the asset is associated; monitor the second distributed ledger after performing the linking operation between the asset and the bridged version of the asset; identify, based on the monitoring, a particular record, recorded to the second distributed ledger, indicating a transfer of the bridged version of the asset to a second owner; based on identifying the particular record, recorded to the second distributed ledger, indicating the transfer of the bridged version of the asset: identify at least one of the first linking information recorded to the first distributed ledger or the second linking information recorded to the second distributed ledger; and record, to the first distributed ledger, further based on identifying the first linking information or the second linking information, information disassociating the first owner from the asset. 9 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the first distributed ledger is associated with a smart contract that indicates one or more operations based on the asset being associated with the first owner, wherein invoking the smart contract includes performing the one or more operations based on the frozen asset remaining associated with the first owner. 10 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 9 , wherein the one or more operations include providing one or more other assets to the first owner. 11 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 9 , wherein after the first owner is disassociated from the asset, invoking the smart contract ceases including performing the one or more operations that were based on the asset being associated with the first owner. 12 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the asset includes an Ethereum Request for Comments 721 asset. 13 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein recording the information disassociating the first owner from the asset includes performing a burn operation with respect to the asset, wherein the burn operation includes recording information to the first distributed ledger that the asset has been burned. 14 . (canceled) 15 . A method, comprising: receiving a request to bridge an asset from a first distributed ledger to a second distributed ledger, wherein the asset is associated with a first owner; based on the request to bridge the asset: recording, to the first distributed ledger, information indicating that the asset is frozen, wherein first distributed ledger maintains information indicating that the frozen asset remains associated with the first owner; and recording, to the second distributed ledger, a bridged version of the asset; performing a linking operation between the asset and the bridged version of the asset, wherein performing the linking operation includes performing at least one of: recording, to the first distributed ledger, first linking information that associates the asset to the bridged version of the asset, the first linking information including an address, associated with the second distributed ledg
