Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A golf bag includes a collapsible sub-assembly including a divider top and a base, a plurality of first snap-fit connectors provided around a portion of an outer perimeter of the divider top, and a flat having a divider top end opposite a base end, an interior side, and an exterior side. The flat includes a plurality of second snap-fit connectors provided along a portion of the divider top end. The flat attaches to the sub-assembly by mating snap-fit engagement of the plurality of first snap-fit connectors around the divider top with the plurality of second snap-fit connectors along the divider top end.

1 . A golf bag comprising: a sub-assembly including a base assembly, a flat, a divider sleeve, a divider top, a stay, and a deployable leg assembly; wherein: the base assembly comprises a ring portion and a base portion; the ring portion includes a top end configured to couple with the flat and a bottom end including a plurality of snap tabs; the base portion includes a flat bottom surface and a vertical lip that defines a perimeter wall extending upwards from the flat bottom surface; the perimeter wall comprises a plurality of slots; the plurality of snap tabs are configured to mate with the plurality of slots. 2 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein: the ring portion comprises a top end having a first diameter and a bottom end having a second diameter; and the first diameter is greater than the second diameter. 3 . The golf bag of claim 2 , wherein the first diameter is approximately equal to a diameter of the vertical lip. 4 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the ring portion comprises a rectangular, triangular, circular, or other shape corresponding to a shape of the base portion. 5 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of snap tabs is defined by a pair of cutouts extending upward from the bottom end. 6 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of snap tabs comprises a protruded surface positioned on an outer surface of the snap tab. 7 . The golf bag of claim 6 , wherein each of the protruded surfaces comprises a first end forming a 90° step with each of the plurality of snap tabs and a second end which tapers to the outer surface of the snap tab. 8 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the base portion further comprises a cover positioned on an interior wall of the vertical lip and at least partially covering a portion of the plurality of slots. 9 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the base assembly further comprises a plurality of connection members configured to couple the base assembly and divider sleeve. 10 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the ring portion and base portion are configured to form an assembled base assembly by aligning the snap tabs and slots and pressing the portions together to form a snap-fit connection. 11 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the deployable leg assembly further comprises a pair of legs pivotably connected to the divider top and a pair of springs extending from the base to the pair of legs. 12 . A golf bag comprising: a base assembly, a flat, a divider sleeve, a divider top comprising a mounting bracket and a pair of legs pivotably coupled with the mounting bracket; wherein: the base assembly further comprises a ring portion and a base portion; the ring portion comprises a top end having a first diameter, a bottom end having a second diameter; the ring portion comprises a plurality of snap tabs each defined by a pair of cutouts extending upward from the bottom end; the base portion comprises a flat bottom surface, a perimeter wall extending upward from the bottom surface, and a vertical lip defining the top of the perimeter wall; the vertical lip comprises a plurality of slots, and; when in an assembled configuration, the snap tabs couple with the slots, the bottom end of the ring portion is received within the vertical lip, and the top end of the ring portion abuts a top surface of the vertical lip. 13 . The golf bag of claim 12 , wherein each of the protruded surfaces comprises a first end forming a 90° step with each of the plurality of snap tabs and a second end which tapers to the outer surface of the snap tab. 14 . The golf bag of claim 12 , wherein each of the protruded surfaces comprises a partial portion of the plurality of snap tab outer surface. 15 . The golf bag of claim 12 , wherein the base portion further comprises a cover positioned on an interior wall of the vertical lip and at least partially covering a portion of the plurality of slots. 16 . The golf bag of claim 12 , wherein each of the plurality of slots begins from a bottom of the vertical lip and extends a portion of the way to a top of the vertical lip. 17 . The golf bag of claim 12 , wherein the base assembly further comprises a plurality of connection members configured to couple the base assembly and divider sleeve. 18 . The golf bag of claim 12 , wherein the ring portion comprises a rectangular, triangular, circular, or other shape corresponding to a shape of the base portion. 19 . The golf bag of claim 12 , wherein the ring portion and base portion are configured to form an assembled base assembly by aligning the snap tabs and slots and pressing the portions together to form a snap-fit connection. 20 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the deployable leg assembly further comprises a pair of legs pivotably connected to the divider top and a pair of springs extending from the base to the pair of legs.
