Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A reciprocating tool includes a motor, a reciprocating member, and a crank mechanism. The motor is disposed in a housing. The reciprocating member projects from the housing. The crank mechanism converts rotation of a rotation shaft of the motor into reciprocation of the reciprocating member. The crank mechanism rotates around an axis in a lateral direction by rotation transmission from the rotation shaft, and the crank mechanism includes a crank member having an eccentric pin, a connecting rod coupling the eccentric pin to the reciprocating member, and a balancer coupled to the eccentric pin, and the balancer is supported by the eccentric pin alone in the housing.

What is claimed is: 1 . A power tool, comprising: a brushless motor that includes (i) a stator including a cylindrically-shaped stator core and an insulator, (ii) a rotor that (a) includes a rotor core and permanent magnets and (b) is inside the stator, and (iii) a rotation shaft which is fixed to the rotor and that extends in a front-rear direction; an inner motor housing including an integrally molded cylinder portion, covering an outer periphery of the stator, and a bearing holder integrally molded to the cylinder portion; a rear housing including a loop-shaped handle housing and an outer motor housing (i) integrally formed with the handle housing and (ii) covering at least a part of an outer periphery of the inner motor housing; a front housing in front of the rear housing in the front-rear direction; a gear (i) in the interior of the front housing and (ii) configured to be driven by the rotation shaft; a cover on an outer periphery of the front housing; and a battery mounting portion on a lower portion of the rear housing. 2 . The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein a control circuit board is inside the rear housing. 3 . The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein the cylinder portion includes through holes on opposite sides, and screws for assembling the rear housing pass through the through holes. 4 . The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein the bearing holder includes air suction openings in a peripheral area of the bearing holder, and the air suction openings are in a front portion of the inner motor housing. 5 . The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein four screw bosses are on a rear portion of the front housing, the inner motor housing includes four penetration holes, and four screws are fixed to the screw bosses via the penetration holes. 6 . The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein the cylinder portion has an inner periphery that includes a plurality of spaced protrusions that (i) extend in an axial direction of the cylinder portion, (ii) contact the outer periphery of the stator, and (iii) protrude in the circumferential direction. 7 . The power tool according to claim 1 , further comprising: a plurality of screws that (i) fix the stator to the cylinder portion and (ii) extend in an axial direction of the cylinder portion. 8 . The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein the cylinder portion includes a protrusion on a circumferential surface of the cylinder portion, and the protrusion and the outer motor housing are configured such that the protrusion restricts movement of the outer motor housing in the front-rear direction. 9 . The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein the power tool is a driver or a drill. 10 . A power tool, comprising: a brushless motor that includes (i) a stator including a cylindrically-shaped stator core and an insulator, (ii) a rotor that (a) includes a rotor core and permanent magnets and (b) is inside the stator, and (iii) a rotation shaft fixed to the rotor and that extends in a front-rear direction; an inner motor housing including an integrally molded cylinder portion that covers an outer periphery of the stator and a bearing holder coupled to the cylinder portion; a rear housing including a loop-shaped handle housing that comprises a handle upper portion, a handle lower portion, a handle front portion and a handle rear portion; an outer motor housing (i) integrally formed with the handle housing and (ii) covering at least a part of an outer periphery of the inner motor housing; a front housing in front of the rear housing; a gear (i) in the interior of the front housing and (ii) configured to be driven by the rotation shaft; a cover on an outer periphery of the front housing; and a switch on the handle rear portion; wherein: the handle front portion includes first air intake openings in a rear face of the handle front portion; the handle lower portion includes second air intake openings and the first and second air intake openings and the brushless motor are configured and arranged such that air passing through the first and second air intake openings flows into the brushless motor. 11 . The power tool according to claim 9 , wherein the rear housing holds a terminal block and includes a control circuit board. 12 . The power tool according to claim 9 , wherein a lock off button is on the handle upper portion, and a window is on the top surface of the handle upper portion for displaying a position of the lock off button. 13 . The power tool according to claim 9 , wherein the power tool is a driver or a drill.
