Official abstract text for this publication.
Systems and method disclosed herein provide a digital asset system that interconnects the processing of digital assets and related physical products within an enterprise network. Digital assets may be generated and updated based on a number of factors including the interactions with the digital asset within the enterprise network and the physical and commercial attributes of the related physical products. Digital assets may be dynamically updated on real-world conditions and utilized to facilitate cross-system interaction between users, manufacturing, and user engagement systems.

What is claimed is: 1 . A method for securely distributing a plurality of digital assets via a digital activation layer implemented within an enterprise network, the method comprising: receiving, from a user device, a request to register with the enterprise network; activating, on a node of a distributed node system managed by the digital activation layer, a digital storage component associated with the user device in response to receiving the request; generating, by the digital activation layer, the plurality of digital assets as part of a digital asset drop; depositing, by the digital activation layer, a digital asset of the plurality of digital assets into the digital storage component, wherein the digital asset is associated with a product; receiving, from the user device, an action to be performed on the digital asset; and performing, by the digital activation layer, the action on the digital asset, wherein the action is configured to delay or expedite a time period for initiating a second action associated with the product. 2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second action is to be performed by a backend system in communication with the digital activation layer. 3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the digital activation layer is configured to establish a connection with an external system located outside of the enterprise network. 4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the external system is configured to implement a third-party application, the method further comprising: importing, via the connection, the digital asset to the external system for use by the third-party application. 5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the third-party application is a video game application. 6 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the third-party application is a social media application. 7 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the digital activation layer is implemented as a blockchain network and the connection with the external system is implemented as a sidechain network off of the blockchain network. 8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the digital activation layer is configured to import the digital asset to the external system via the sidechain network. 9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein generating the plurality of digital assets as part of the digital asset drop further comprises: retrieving a usage metric associated with the product, wherein the usage metric indicates at least one of a popularity of the product or a sales figure of the product; and generating the digital asset based on the usage metric. 10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the digital asset is a non-fungible token that is generated based on at least one physical attribute of the product. 11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second action associated with the product comprises at least one of: initiating, by a production subsystem in the backend system, a production sequence for manufacturing the product; and preventing the production subsystem from initiating the production sequence for manufacturing the product. 12 . A system for securely distributing a plurality of digital assets, the system comprising: a digital activation layer implemented within an enterprise network, wherein the digital activation layer is configured to: receive, from a user device, a request to register with the enterprise network; activate, on a node of a distributed node system managed by the digital activation layer, a digital storage component associated with the user device in response to receiving the request; generate, by the digital activation layer, the plurality of digital assets as part of a digital asset drop; deposit, by the digital activation layer, a digital asset of the plurality of digital assets into the digital storage component, wherein the digital asset of the plurality of digital assets is associated with a product receive, from the user device, an action to be performed on the digital asset; and perform, by the digital activation layer, the action on the digital asset, wherein the action is configured to delay or expedite a time period for initiating a second action associated with the product. 13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the second action is to be performed by a backend system in communication with the digital activation layer. 14 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the digital activation layer is configured to establish a connection with an external system located outside of the enterprise network. 15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the external system is configured to implement a third-party application, the digital activation layer further configured to: import, via the connection, the digital asset to the external system for use by the third-party application. 16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the third-party application is a video game application. 17 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the third-party application is a social media application. 18 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the digital activation layer is implemented as a blockchain network and the connection with the external system is implemented as a sidechain network off of the blockchain network. 19 . The system of claim 12 , wherein to generate the plurality of digital assets as part of the digital asset drop, the digital activation layer is further configured to: retrieve a usage metric associated with the product, wherein the usage metric indicates at least one of a popularity of the physical product or a sales figure of the product; and generate the digital asset based on the usage metric. 20 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium with program code stored thereon, wherein the program code is executable to cause a digital activation layer implemented within an enterprise network to perform operations comprising: receiving, from a user device, a request to register with the enterprise network; activating, on a node of a distributed node system managed by the digital activation layer, a digital storage component associated with the user device in response to receiving the request; generating, by the digital activation layer, a plurality of digital assets as part of a digital asset drop; depositing, by the digital activation layer, a digital asset of the plurality of digital assets into the digital storage component, wherein the digital asset is associated with a product receiving, from the user device, an action to be performed on the digital asset; and performing, by the digital activation layer, the action on the digital asset, wherein the action is configured to delay or expedite a time period for initiating a second action associated with the product.
