1 . A communication apparatus comprising a plurality of devices, wherein each of the plurality of devices includes a monitoring unit configured to monitor at least one other device to detect an error that has occurred in the other device, and each of the plurality of devices is monitored by at least one other device. 2 . The communication apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of the devices further includes a chain-of-command unit configured to reset a supply of electric power to the communication apparatus. 3 . The communication apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein if the monitoring unit included in at least one of the devices detects an error that has occurred in the other device, the chain-of-command unit resets the supply of electric power to the communication apparatus. 4 . The communication apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein if the monitoring unit included in at least one of the devices detects an error that has occurred in the other device, the monitoring unit resets an operating state of the other device. 5 . The communication apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein if the operating state of the communication apparatus is not restored through the reset of the operating state of the other device, the chain-of-command unit resets the supply of electric power to the communication apparatus. 6 . The communication apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein if the operating state of the communication apparatus is not restored through the reset of the operating state of the other device, the device stops operation of the communication apparatus. 7 . The communication apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the communication apparatus is a terminal apparatus of an optical line. 8 . An error detection method to be performed by a communication apparatus including a plurality of devices, each of the devices being monitored by at least one other device, the method comprising a step of monitoring at least one other device to detect an error that has occurred in the other device.
