Official abstract text for this publication.
This application relates to the field of communications technologies, and discloses a method and an apparatus for indicating a number of repetitions, so that a configuration of a number of repetitions of an SRS and/or a PUSCH is more adaptive to a channel change. The method includes: A network device sends DCI to a terminal device, where the DCI includes first indication information, and the first indication information indicates a number of repetitions of an SRS and/or a PUSCH. Because the DCI has a faster update process than RRC signaling, and overheads are smaller than those of the RRC signaling, the network side device may flexibly configure the number of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH by using the DCI, to better adapt to the channel change, and further improve a channel estimation capability and signal demodulation performance.

What is claimed is: 1 . A method for indicating a number of repetitions, comprising: receiving, by a terminal, downlink control information DCI, wherein the DCI comprises first indication information, and the first indication information is for the terminal to determine a number of repetitions of a sounding reference signal SRS and/or a physical uplink shared channel PUSCH; and determining, by the terminal, the number of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH based on the first indication information; wherein the first indication information is carried in an existing field in the DCI, or the first indication information is carried in an extension field in the DCI, and the existing field in the DCI comprises a modulation and coding scheme MCS index. 2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the first indication information is the MCS index value; and the determining, by the terminal, the number of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH based on the first indication information comprises: determining, by the terminal, a number, corresponding to the MCS index value, of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH based on a first correspondence, wherein the first correspondence comprises a correspondence between different MCS index values and different numbers of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH. 3 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the first indication information is carried in the extension field in the DCI; and the determining, by the terminal, the number of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH based on the first indication information comprises: determining, by the terminal, the number of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH based on a value of the extension field; or determining, by the terminal, a number, corresponding to a value index of the extension field, of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH based on a second correspondence, wherein the second correspondence comprises a correspondence between different value indexes of the extension field and different numbers of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH. 4 . The method according to claim 1 , further comprising: receiving, by the terminal, radio resource control RRC signaling, wherein the RRC signaling comprises second indication information, and the second indication information indicates a first number of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH; and the determining, by the terminal, the number of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH based on the first indication information comprises: obtaining, by the terminal, the number of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH by using an adjustment value indicated by the first indication information and the first number, indicated by the second indication information, of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH; or obtaining, by the terminal, the number of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH based on the first indication information. 5 . The method according to claim 4 , wherein the first indication information is an indication value, and the method further comprises: determining, by the terminal based on a third correspondence, an adjustment value corresponding to the indication value, wherein the third correspondence is a correspondence between different indication values and different adjustment values for adjusting the first number of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH. 6 . A method for indicating a number of repetitions, comprising: sending, by a network side device, downlink control information DCI to a terminal, wherein the DCI comprises first indication information, and the first indication information indicates a number of repetitions of a sounding reference signal SRS and/or a physical uplink shared channel PUSCH; wherein the first indication information is carried in an existing field in the DCI, or the first indication information is carried in an extension field in the DCI, and the existing field in the DCI comprises a modulation and coding scheme MCS index. 7 . The method according to claim 6 , wherein the first indication information is the MCS index value; and the first indication information is for the terminal to determine a number, corresponding to the MCS index value, of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH based on a first correspondence, wherein the first correspondence comprises a correspondence between different MCS index values and different numbers of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH. 8 . The method according to claim 6 , wherein the first indication information is carried in the extension field in the DCI; and the extension field is for the terminal to determine the number of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH based on a value of the extension field; or the extension field is for the terminal to determine a number, corresponding to a value index of the extension field, of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH based on a third correspondence, wherein the third correspondence comprises a correspondence between different value indexes and different numbers of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH. 9 . The method according to claim 6 , further comprising: sending, by the network side device, radio resource control RRC signaling to the terminal, wherein the RRC signaling comprises second indication information, and the second indication information indicates a number of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH, wherein the first indication information indicates the terminal to adjust, based on the first indication information, the received number, indicated by the second indication information, of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH, or indicate the terminal to determine the number of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH based on the first indication information. 10 . The method according to claim 9 , wherein the first indication information is an indication value; and the indication value is for the terminal to determine, based on a third correspondence, an adjustment value corresponding to the indication value, wherein the third correspondence is a correspondence between different indication values and different adjustment values for adjusting the number of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH. 11 . An apparatus for indicating a number of repetitions, comprising: at least one processor; and a memory storing programming instructions for execution by the at least one processor, the programming instructions instructing the network device to perform operations comprising: receiving downlink control information DCI, wherein the DCI comprises first indication information, and the first indication information is for the apparatus to determine a number of repetitions of a sounding reference signal SRS and/or a physical uplink shared channel PUSCH; and determining the number of repetitions of the SRS and/or the PUSCH based on the first indication information; wherein the first indication information is carried in an existing field in the DCI, or the first indication information is carried in an extension field in the DCI, and the existing field in the DCI comprises a modulation and coding scheme MCS index. 12 .
