Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

The systems, methods, and devices of the present disclosure may provide, among other features, high-performance, interactive geographical and/or data object map capabilities in which large amounts of geographical, geospatial, and other types of data, geodata, objects, features, and/or metadata are efficiently presented to a user on a map interface. In various embodiments, an interactive geographical map display system may enable rapid and deep analysis of various objects, features, and/or metadata by the user by aggregating and clustering large sets of data into aggregate values and clusters. The user can select various clusters, via the user interface, to interact with the data, clusters, and map.

What is claimed is: 1 . A computer-implemented method comprising: causing display of a graphical user interface comprising an interactive map; receiving, via the graphical user interface, a user input indicating a change from a first view of the interactive map to a second view of the interactive map, wherein the first view includes first data object groupings; transmitting, to a server, information associated with the second view; causing an initial display of the second view, wherein the initial display includes at least a portion of the first data object groupings; receiving, from the server, one or more data files comprising second data object groupings, wherein the second data object groupings are determined by combining underlying data objects that geographically overlap at a geolocation data precision associated with the second view; and causing a final display of the second view, wherein the final display includes the second data object groupings. 2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the first view includes the first data object groupings displayed in the interactive map, and wherein the initial display of the second view includes at least the portion of the first data object groupings displayed in the interactive map. 3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the final display of the second view includes at least a portion of the second data object groupings displayed in the interactive map. 4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein said transmitting and said causing the initial display are performed in response to said receiving the user input. 5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein said causing the final display is performed in response to said receiving the one or more data files. 6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the geolocation data precision is based on a preconfigured target quantity of data object groupings to be displayed for the second viewport. 7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the change from the first view to the second view includes one or more of: changing a zoom level of the interactive map; or panning of the interactive map. 8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the initial display also includes clusters displayed based on the first data object groupings. 9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more data files also includes information comprising a quantity of data objects in each of the second data object groupings. 10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the final display also includes clusters displayed based on the second data object groupings. 11 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the updating of geolocation data includes adding, removing, or rounding the geolocation data associated with the one or more underlying data objects. 12 . A system comprising: a computer readable storage medium having program instructions embodied therewith; and one or more processors configured to execute the program instructions to cause the system to: causing display of a graphical user interface comprising an interactive map; receiving, via the graphical user interface, a user input indicating a change from a first view of the interactive map to a second view of the interactive map, wherein the first view includes first data object groupings; transmitting, to a server, information associated with the second view; causing an initial display of the second view, wherein the initial display includes at least a portion of the first data object groupings; receiving, from the server, one or more data files comprising second data object groupings, wherein the second data object groupings are determined by combining underlying data objects that geographically overlap at a geolocation data precision associated with the second view; and causing a final display of the second view, wherein the final display includes the second data object groupings. 13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the first view includes the first data object groupings displayed in the interactive map, and wherein the initial display of the second view includes at least the portion of the first data object groupings displayed in the interactive map. 14 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the final display of the second view includes at least a portion of the second data object groupings displayed in the interactive map. 15 . The system of claim 12 , wherein said transmitting and said causing the initial display are performed in response to said receiving the user input. 16 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the geolocation data precision is based on a preconfigured target quantity of data object groupings to be displayed for the second viewport. 17 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the change from the first view to the second view includes one or more of: changing a zoom level of the interactive map; or panning of the interactive map. 18 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the initial display also includes clusters displayed based on the first data object groupings. 19 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the final display also includes clusters displayed based on the second data object groupings. 20 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the updating of geolocation data includes adding, removing, or rounding the geolocation data associated with the one or more underlying data objects.
