What is claimed is: 1 . An electronic device, comprising: a touch-sensitive display; one or more processors; a memory; and one or more programs, wherein the one or more programs are stored in the memory and configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for: receiving an alert; after receiving the alert, displaying a notification corresponding to the alert; while displaying the notification corresponding to the alert, receiving user input; in response to receiving the user input, displaying a user interface that includes a user interface object that corresponds to an option for performing an action related to the alert; detecting a selection of the user interface object that corresponds to the option for performing the action related to the alert; and after detecting the selection of the user interface object that corresponds to the option for performing the action related to the alert, displaying a clock face. 2 . The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the alert comprises a text message. 3 . The electronic device of claim 2 , wherein the option for performing an action related to the alert includes an option to reply to the text message. 4 . The electronic device of claim 3 , wherein the option to reply to the text message includes an option to select a predefined response. 5 . The electronic device of claim 3 , wherein the option to reply to the text message includes one or more of an option to select an emoji or an option to dictate a response. 6 . The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the action related to the alert includes a dismiss action. 7 . The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein displaying the clock face is performed after a predetermined time interval. 8 . The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein displaying the clock face is performed in response to detecting the selection of the user interface object. 9 . The electronic device of claim 1 , the one or more programs further including instructions for: in response to detecting the selection of the user interface object: displaying a confirmation screen, wherein displaying the clock face is performed after displaying the confirmation screen. 10 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing one or more programs configured to be executed by one or more processors of an electronic device with touch-sensitive a display, the one or more programs including instructions for: receiving an alert; after receiving the alert, displaying a notification corresponding to the alert; while displaying the notification corresponding to the alert, receiving user input; in response to receiving the user input, displaying a user interface that includes a user interface object that corresponds to an option for performing an action related to the alert; detecting a selection of the user interface object that corresponds to the option for performing the action related to the alert; and after detecting the selection of the user interface object that corresponds to the option for performing the action related to the alert, displaying a clock face. 11 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein the alert comprises a text message. 12 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the option for performing an action related to the alert includes an option to reply to the text message. 13 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , wherein the option to reply to the text message includes an option to select a predefined response. 14 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , wherein the option to reply to the text message includes one or more of an option to select an emoji or an option to dictate a response. 15 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein the action related to the alert includes a dismiss action. 16 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein displaying the clock face is performed after a predetermined time interval. 17 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein displaying the clock face is performed in response to detecting the selection of the user interface object. 18 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 10 , the one or more programs further including instructions for: in response to detecting the selection of the user interface object: displaying a confirmation screen, wherein displaying the clock face is performed after displaying the confirmation screen. 19 . A method, comprising: at an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display: receiving an alert; after receiving the alert, displaying a notification corresponding to the alert; while displaying the notification corresponding to the alert, receiving user input; in response to receiving the user input, displaying a user interface that includes a user interface object that corresponds to an option for performing an action related to the alert; detecting a selection of the user interface object that corresponds to the option for performing the action related to the alert; and after detecting the selection of the user interface object that corresponds to the option for performing the action related to the alert, displaying a clock face. 20 . The method of claim 19 , wherein the alert comprises a text message. 21 . The method of claim 20 , wherein the option for performing an action related to the alert includes an option to reply to the text message. 22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the option to reply to the text message includes an option to select a predefined response. 23 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the option to reply to the text message includes one or more of an option to select an emoji or an option to dictate a response. 24 . The method of claim 19 , wherein the action related to the alert includes a dismiss action. 25 . The method of claim 19 , wherein displaying the clock face is performed after a predetermined time interval. 26 . The method of claim 19 , wherein displaying the clock face is performed in response to detecting the selection of the user interface object. 27 . The method of claim 19 , further comprising: in response to detecting the selection of the user interface object: displaying a confirmation screen, wherein displaying the clock face is performed after displaying the confirmation screen.
