Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to negative pressure treatment systems and wound dressing systems, apparatuses, and methods that may be used for the treatment of wounds. In particular, some embodiments are directed to improved wound dressings comprising a bridge portion connecting two or more portions of an absorbent layer that facilitates trimming of the wound dressing to suitable sizes. Some embodiments provide for trimming the dressing in a gap between two or more portions of an absorbent layer and sealing the exposed portion of dressing after trimming when the dressing is applied to skin surrounding a wound.

1 - 116 . (canceled) 117 . A wound treatment apparatus comprising: a wound dressing configured to be positioned over a wound site, the wound dressing comprising: a material layer comprising a plurality of cells defined by predefined cuts along a first surface thereof, wherein each cell of the plurality of cells is at least partially separated from an adjacent cell along a majority of every side of each said cell that faces an adjacent cell, wherein the plurality of cells comprise rectangular-shaped cells; a backing layer over the material layer and comprising at least one orifice; a wound contact layer beneath the material layer and sealed to the backing layer; and a fluidic connector positioned over the at least one orifice configured to provide negative pressure through the wound dressing to the wound site. 118 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 117 , wherein the plurality of cells is arranged in a regularly repeating grid pattern. 119 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 118 , wherein the plurality of cells comprise square-shaped cells. 120 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 117 , wherein the plurality of cells comprise cells having a shape selected from the group consisting of a square, rectangle, circle, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, and triangle. 121 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 117 , wherein the plurality of cells comprise cells having a same shape and a same size. 122 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 117 , wherein the predefined cuts comprise cuts parallel to a first orientation. 123 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 122 , wherein the predefined cuts further comprise cuts parallel to a second orientation, the second orientation perpendicular to the first orientation. 124 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 117 , wherein each cell of the plurality of cells is connected to an adjacent cell of the plurality of cells along every side of each said cell that faces a side of an adjacent cell. 125 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 117 , wherein the material layer comprises an absorbent layer. 126 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 117 , wherein the material layer comprises a foam layer. 127 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 117 , further comprising a transmission layer beneath the material layer. 128 . A wound treatment apparatus comprising: a wound dressing configured to be positioned over a wound site, the wound dressing comprising: a foam layer comprising a plurality of cells arranged in a regularly repeating rectangular-shaped grid pattern, wherein each cell of the plurality of cells is partially connected to an adjacent cell along every side of each said cell that faces a side of an adjacent cell, and wherein each cell of the plurality of cells is physically separated from an adjacent cell along a majority of every side of each said cell that faces a side of an adjacent cell; a backing layer over the foam layer and comprising at least one orifice; a wound contact layer beneath the foam layer and sealed to the backing layer; and a fluidic connector positioned over the at least one orifice configured to provide negative pressure through the wound dressing to the wound site. 129 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 128 , wherein each cell is partially connected to an adjacent cell of the plurality of cells by bridging portions that together with the plurality of cells form a single continuous foam layer. 130 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 129 , wherein the bridging portions have a smaller height than surrounding cell portions. 131 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 129 , wherein the bridging portions have a smaller width than surrounding cell portions. 132 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 128 , wherein the plurality of cells are arranged in a regularly repeating square-shaped grid pattern. 133 . A wound treatment apparatus comprising: a wound dressing configured to be positioned over a wound site, the wound dressing comprising: a material layer comprising a plurality of cells, wherein each cell of the plurality of cells is at least partially separated from an adjacent cell along every side of each said cell that faces an adjacent cell; a backing layer over the material layer and comprising at least one orifice; a wound contact layer beneath the material layer and sealed to the backing layer; and a fluidic connector positioned over the at least one orifice configured to provide negative pressure through the wound dressing to the wound site. 134 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 133 , wherein the plurality of cells are arranged in a regularly repeating pattern. 135 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 134 , wherein the plurality of cells comprise cells having a same size and the same polygonal shape. 136 . The wound treatment apparatus of claim 134 , wherein the plurality of cells are connected to one another.
