Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

The present invention relates to a V-ribbed belt including: a tension rubber layer made of a vulcanizate of a rubber composition including a rubber component and short fibers; and a core wire, in which a proportion of the short fibers in the rubber composition is 15-50 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, and the rubber composition has a minimum Mooney scorch viscosity measured at 125° C. of 70-130.

First claim

Opening claim text (preview).

1 . A V-ribbed belt comprising: a tension rubber layer made of a vulcanizate of a rubber composition comprising a rubber component and short fibers; and a core wire, wherein a proportion of the short fibers in the rubber composition is 15-50 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, and the rubber composition has a minimum Mooney scorch viscosity measured at 125° C. of 70-130. 2 . The V-ribbed belt according to claim 1 , wherein the vulcanizate has a hardness (JIS-A) of 80-90 degree. 3 . The V-ribbed belt according to claim 1 , wherein an orientation direction of the short fibers is a belt width direction. 4 . The V-ribbed belt according to claim 1 , wherein the short fibers have an average fiber length of 1-10 mm. 5 . The V-ribbed belt according to claim 1 , wherein fibers constituting the core wire have a tensile elastic modulus of 50 GPa or more. 6 . The V-ribbed belt according to claim 1 , wherein the core wire is in contact with the vulcanizate. 7 . The V-ribbed belt according to claim 1 , wherein a deviation of the core wire in a belt thickness direction is 0.08 mm or less. 8 . A manufacturing method of the V-ribbed belt according to claim 1 , the method comprising a step of pressing a laminate comprising a sheet of the rubber composition and the core wire against a die. 9 . A rubber composition which is an unvulcanized rubber composition for forming a tension rubber layer of a V-ribbed belt, the rubber composition comprising a rubber component and short fibers, wherein a proportion of the short fibers is 15-50 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, and the rubber composition has a minimum Mooney scorch viscosity measured at 125° C. of 70-130.
