Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Systems, methods, and devices for enabling simultaneous transmission of different types of transmission protocols. A device such as a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may receive configuration information and receive a data packet from an upper layer of a protocol stack operating on the WTRU. The WTRU may then determine a transmission type for the data packet at a first time based on the configuration information and a condition. The WTRU may then transmit the data packet using the determined transmission type. The configuration information may include decision criteria associated with determining the transmission type and a set of logical channels that are associated with data properties. The transmission type may be one of a network scheduled mode, WTRU autonomously scheduled mode, LTE, NR, unicast, groupcast, or broadcast.

First claim

1 - 12 . (canceled) 13 . A method implemented by a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising: receiving configuration information, wherein the configuration information comprises a channel busy rate (CBR) threshold related to an association between a logical channel (LCH) and a transmission mode; measuring a CBR; determining that the measured CBR crosses the CBR threshold triggering a change of the association between the LCH and the transmission mode; and sending a buffer status report (BSR) based on the change in the association between the LCH and the transmission mode. 14 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising: selecting resources for the LCH based on the measured CBR exceeding or falling below the CBR threshold; and transmitting a message on the selected resources. 15 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the transmission mode is associated with a network scheduled mode or a WTRU autonomous mode. 16 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the transmission mode is associated with an indication of unicast, groupcast, or broadcast. 17 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the transmission mode is associated with a radio access technology (RAT). 18 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the RAT is LTE or NR. 19 . A wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU), the WTRU comprising: a transceiver operatively coupled to a processor, the receiver configured to receive configuration information, wherein the configuration information comprises a channel busy rate (CBR) threshold related to an association between a logical channel (LCH) and a transmission mode; the transceiver configured to measure a CBR; the processor configured to determine that the measured CBR crosses the CBR threshold triggering a change of the association between the LCH and the transmission mode; and the transceiver configured to send a buffer status report (BSR) based on the change in the association between the LCH and the transmission mode. 20 . The WTRU of claim 19 , wherein the transceiver and processor are further configured to: select resources for the LCH based on the measured CBR exceeding or falling below the CBR threshold; and transmit a message on the selected resources. 21 . The WTRU of claim 19 , wherein the transmission mode is associated with a network scheduled mode or a WTRU autonomous mode. 22 . The WTRU of claim 19 , wherein the transmission mode is associated with an indication of unicast, groupcast, or broadcast. 23 . The WTRU of claim 19 , wherein the transmission mode is associated with a radio access technology (RAT). 24 . The WTRU of claim 23 , wherein the RAT is LTE or NR.
