An intermediary entity may act on behalf of consumers to find Usage-Based Insurance (UBI) that best or optimally meet the consumers' UBI preferences and/or characteristics. Based upon an analysis of individual UBI consumer characteristics and/or preferences, each individual UBI consumer may be grouped with other UBI consumers having similar characteristics and/or UBI preferences. For at least one individual assigned a first UBI policy group or segment, intermediary entity may determine that a UBI preference or characteristic of the individual has changed, divide or segment the individual into a second UBI policy group or segment based on the changed UBI preference or characteristic, and update or provide a UBI policy for the individual associated with the second UBI policy group or segment.

What is claimed: 1 . A computer-implemented method, the method comprising: analyzing, via one or more processors, multiple UBI (Usage-Based Insurance) applications, accounts, and/or policies for at least one UBI preference or characteristic of multiple individuals and/or consumers corresponding to the multiple UBI applications, accounts, and/or policies; dividing or segmenting, via the one or more processors, the multiple individuals and/or consumers into multiple UBI policy groups or segments based upon the at least one UBI preference or characteristic of the multiple individuals and/or consumers; for at least one individual assigned a first UBI policy group or segment: determining, via the one or more processors, that a UBI preference or characteristic of the individual has changed; dividing or segmenting, via the one or more processors, the individual into a second UBI policy group or segment based on the changed UBI preference or characteristic; and updating or providing, via the one or more processors, a UBI policy for the individual associated with the second UBI policy group or segment. 2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein updating or providing a UBI policy for the individual associated with the second UBI policy group or segment includes: auctioning, via the one or more processors and by using an electronic or communications network, an opportunity to provide UBI for the second UBI policy group or segment; receiving, via the one or more processors and the electronic or communications network, one or more bids for purchase and/or offers of UBI for the second UBI policy group or segment; accepting, via the one or more processors, one of the bids for purchase and/or UBI offers; and updating or providing, via the one or more processors, the UBI policy for the individual associated with the second UBI policy group or segment corresponding to the accepted bid. 3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one UBI preference of the multiple individuals and/or consumers include preferences for at least one of UBI policy coverage, types of coverages, premiums, discounts, deductibles, or limits; and wherein the second UBI policy group or segment is associated with automobile UBI. 4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one UBI preference of the multiple individuals and/or consumers include preferences for pay-by-mile auto insurance; and wherein the second UBI policy group or segment is associated with automobile UBI. 5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one UBI preference of the multiple individuals and/or consumers include preferences for pay-by-time (or pay by period of time) auto insurance; and wherein the second UBI policy group or segment is associated with automobile UBI. 6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one UBI preference of the multiple individuals and/or consumers include preferences for at least one of claims expectations, telematics use, or company ratings. 7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one UBI characteristic of the multiple individuals and/or consumers relate to or are indicative of at least one of consumer age, status, marital status, education, occupation, finances or income, driving history, accident history, vehicle type, home type, geographic location, risk, risk scores, or another individual characteristic. 8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one UBI characteristic of the multiple individuals and/or consumers relate to or are indicative of individual driving behavior that is based upon computer analysis of telematics data; and wherein telematics data associated with the at least one individual is gathered or collected from a mobile device or from a conventional telematics device that physically connects with a vehicle corresponding to the at least one individual. 9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein: the at least one UBI preference or characteristic of the multiple individuals and/or consumers includes a risk score of the at least one individual, the risk score stored in a consumer profile of the at least one individual; the method further comprises detecting an event, or lack thereof, that impacts the risk score of the at least one individual; and detecting the event comprises at least one of: accessing a third party or government database via the electronic or communications network, or analyzing telematics data corresponding to the at least one individual. 10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 9 , the method further comprising: updating the risk score or the consumer profile of the at least one individual based on the detected event. 11 . A system comprising: one or more persistent memories storing a consumer profile database; one or more communication interfaces configured to communicate with remote devices via one or more electronic or communications networks; one or more processors; and one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to: analyze consumer profiles that are included in the consumer profile database and that correspond to multiple UBI (Usage-Based Insurance) consumers for at least one UBI preference or characteristic of the multiple UBI consumers; divide or segment the multiple UBI consumers into multiple UBI policy groups or groupings based upon the at least one UBI preference or characteristic of the multiple UBI consumers; for at least one individual assigned a first UBI policy group or segment: determine that a UBI preference or characteristic of the individual has changed; divide or segment the individual into a second UBI policy group or segment based on the changed UBI preference or characteristic; and update or provide a UBI policy for the individual associated with the second UBI policy group or segment. 12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein to update or provide a UBI policy for the individual associated with the second UBI policy group or segment, the instructions cause the one or more processors to: auction, using an electronic or communications network, an opportunity to provide UBI for the second UBI policy group or segment; receive, via the electronic or communications network, one or more bids for purchase and/or offers of UBI for the second UBI policy group or segment; accept one of the bids for purchase and/or UBI offers; and update or provide the UBI policy for the individual associated with the second UBI policy group or segment corresponding to the accepted bid. 13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein: wherein the at least one UBI preference of the multiple individuals and/or consumers include preferences for at least one of insurance policy coverage, types of coverages, premiums, discounts, deductibles, or limits; and wherein the second UBI policy group or segment is associated with automobile UBI insurance. 14 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the second UBI policy group or grouping is associated with automobile insurance. 15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the at least one UBI preference of the multiple individuals and/or consumers include preferences for pay-by-mile auto insurance; and wherein the second UBI policy group or segment is associated with automobile UBI. 16 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the at least one UBI preference of the multiple individuals and/or consumers include preferences for pay-by-t
