Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A detection device includes: a detection unit that detects a predetermined non-contact operation by a detection reference; and a control unit that changes the detection reference when the predetermined non-contact operation is not detected by the detection reference.

First claim

1 . A detection device for detecting an operation by a user for a midair display, the detection device comprising: a sensor that detects the operation by the user on the midair display; and a controller that controls a detection range of the sensor, wherein when the sensor detects the operation by the user in a first detection range, the controller sets a second detection range different from the first detection range based on the detection result of the sensor. 2 . The detection device according to claim 1 , wherein the controller controls a position of the second detection range based on a position where the operation by the user is detected in the first detection range. 3 . The detection device according to claim 1 , wherein the controller sets the second detection range to be smaller than the first detection range. 4 . The detection device according to claim 3 , wherein the controller sets the second detection range to be inside the first detection range. 5 . The detection device according to claim 1 , wherein the controller sets the second detection range to be parallel to a plane where the midair display is recognized. 6 . The detection device according to claim 1 , wherein the controller sets a center position of the first detection range to be different from a center position of the second detection range. 7 . The detection device according to claim 1 , wherein the controller sets the first detection range as the detection range in a case where no operation by the user is detected within a predetermined time after the second detection range is set as the detection range. 8 . The detection device according to claim 1 , wherein the controller changes whether or not to set the second detection range based on information of the user. 9 . The detection device according to claim 1 , wherein the controller sets a third detection range different from the second detection range as the detection range based on the detection result of the sensor when the sensor detects the operation by the user in the second detection range. 10 . The detection device according to claim 9 , wherein the controller determines whether or not to set the third detection range based on a distance between a position where the operation by the user was detected and the second detection range when the sensor detects the operation by the user in the second detection range. 11 . The detection device according to claim 10 , wherein the controller sets the third detection range when the distance between the position where the operation by the user was detected by the sensor and the second detection range is greater than a predetermined value. 12 . The detection device according to claim 11 , wherein the controller sets the third detection range when the sensor detects a predetermined number of the operation by the user where the distance from the second detection range is greater than a predetermined value. 13 . A detection method for detecting an operation by a user for a midair display, the method comprising: detecting with a sensor the operation by the user on the midair display; and controlling a detection range of the sensor, wherein when the sensor detects the operation by the user in a first detection range, a second detection range different from the first detection range is set based on the detection result of the sensor. 14 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a control program that causes a detection device for detecting an operation by a user for a midair display to: detect with a sensor the operation by the user on the midair display; and control a detection range of the sensor, wherein when the sensor detects the operation by the user in a first detection range, a second detection range different from the first detection range is set based on the detection result of the sensor.
