Example embodiments of systems and methods for data transmission system between transmitting and receiving devices are provided. In an embodiment, each of the transmitting and receiving devices can contain a master key. The transmitting device can generate a diversified key using the master key, protect a counter value and encrypt data prior to transmitting to the receiving device, which can generate the diversified key based on the master key and can decrypt the data and validate the protected counter value using the diversified key.

1 - 40 . (canceled) 41 . A method, comprising the steps of: encrypting, by a processor of a contactless card, transmission data using one or more cryptographic algorithms and a card key to yield encrypted transmission data; transmitting, by the processor, the encrypted transmission data for decryption; performing, by the processor, one or more actions including retrieval, from a memory of the contactless card, of user preference information for an account associated with a user; and transmitting, by the processor, a request for language information based on the user preference information. 42 . The method of claim 41 , wherein the request for language information comprises a request for a translation of text from a first language to a second language. 43 . The method of claim 42 , wherein: the first language is a non-English language, and the second language is English. 44 . The method of claim 42 , wherein: the first language is English, and the second language is a non-English language. 45 . The method of claim 41 , wherein at least one of the one or more actions includes converting a purchase amount from a first currency to a second currency. 46 . The method of claim 45 , wherein: the first currency is a non-U.S. dollar currency, and the second currency is U.S. dollars. 47 . The method of claim 45 , wherein: the first currency is U.S. dollars, and the second currency is a non-U.S. dollar currency. 48 . A system, comprising: a contactless card comprising a processor and a memory, wherein the memory contains a card key, transmission data, and user preference information; and a server, wherein, after entry into a communication field, the contactless card is configured to: encrypt the transmission data using one or more cryptographic algorithms and the card key to yield encrypted transmission data, transmit the encrypted transmission data for decryption, perform one or more actions including retrieval, from the memory, of user preference information for an account associated with a user, and transmit a request for language information based on the user preference information to the server. 49 . The system of claim 48 , wherein the request for language information comprises a request for a translation of text from a first language to a second language. 50 . The system of claim 49 , wherein the server is configured to host a form including the text in the first language and the second language. 51 . The system of claim 48 , wherein the communication field is generated by an application executing on a client device configured to transmit the request for language information to the server. 52 . The system of claim 51 , wherein the client device comprises at least one selected from the group of a point-of-sale device, a kiosk, a terminal, a tablet, a mobile device, and a network-enabled computer. 53 . A contactless card, comprising: a processor; and a memory containing a card key, transmission data, and user preference information, wherein the processor is configured to: encrypt the transmission data using one or more cryptographic algorithms and the card key to yield encrypted transmission data, transmit the encrypted transmission data for decryption, perform, after the decryption, one or more actions including retrieval, from the memory, of user preference information for an account associated with a user, and transmit a request for language information based on the user preference information. 54 . The contactless card of claim 53 , wherein the request for language information comprises a request for a translation of text from a first language to a second language. 55 . The contactless card of claim 54 , wherein: the first language is a non-English language, and the second language is English. 56 . The contactless card of claim 54 , wherein: the first language is English, and the second language is a non-English language. 57 . The contactless card of claim 53 , wherein at least one of the one or more actions includes converting a purchase amount from a first currency to a second currency. 58 . The contactless card of claim 57 , wherein: the first currency is a non-U.S. dollar currency, and the second currency is U.S. dollars. 59 . The contactless card of claim 57 , wherein: the first currency is U.S. dollars, and the second currency is a non-U.S. dollar currency. 60 . The contactless card of claim 53 , wherein the processor is configured to transmit the request for language information to a server via a communication field generated by a client device.
