A medical device for delivering and retrieving a medical implant is disclosed comprising a sheath, a wire having a distal end and being movable in a lumen of the sheath in a longitudinal direction of the sheath. The distal end comprises a locking structure for receiving and interlock with a complementary mating surface of a medical implant, wherein the locking structure comprises a first locking surface aligned in a first radial direction to lock rotational movement of the implant, when received in the locking structure, around the longitudinal direction. The wire comprises a pivotable locking portion having an open and a closed position, the locking portion has a locking structure with a recess locking movement of the implant, when received in the locking structure, in the longitudinal direction, when the locking portion is in the closed position.

1 - 51 . (canceled) 52 . An annuloplasty implant comprising: a complementary mating surface at an end portion of the annuloplasty implant for interlocking with a locking structure of a medical implant delivery and retrieval device and extending along a longitudinal direction; wherein said complementary mating surface comprises a recess for locking movement of said annuloplasty implant when received in said locking structure, in said longitudinal direction; and a retrieval element to connect the annuloplasty implant with the medical implant delivery and retrieval device when the annuloplasty implant is disconnected from the medical implant delivery and retrieval device. 53 . The annuloplasty implant according to claim 53 , wherein the annuloplasty implant comprises an annuloplasty ring or helix. 54 . The annuloplasty implant according to claim 53 , wherein said complementary mating surface comprises a first locking surface aligned in a first radial direction (R) to lock rotational movement of said implant, when received in said locking structure, around said longitudinal direction. 55 . A medical implant delivery and retrieval device comprising: a sheath; a wire having a distal end and being movable in a lumen of said sheath in a longitudinal direction of said sheath, said distal end comprising a locking structure for receiving and interlocking with a complementary mating surface of an annuloplasty implant; and a retrieval element to connect the locking structure with the annuloplasty implant when the annuloplasty implant is disconnected from the locking structure. 56 . The medical implant delivery and retrieval device according to claim 55 , wherein the locking structure comprises a first locking surface aligned in a first radial direction (R) to lock rotational movement of said annuloplasty implant, when received in said locking structure, around said longitudinal direction. 57 . The medical implant delivery and retrieval device according to claim 56 , wherein the locking structure comprises a protrusion for locking movement of the annuloplasty implant, when received in the locking structure, in the longitudinal direction. 58 . The medical implant delivery and retrieval device according to claim 56 , comprising a magnet for attracting the annuloplasty implant with a force. 59 . A system comprising: a medical implant delivery and retrieval device extending along a longitudinal direction; an annuloplasty implant comprising complementary mating surface at an end portion thereof for interlocking with a locking structure of the medical implant delivery and retrieval device; and a retrieval element to connect the annuloplasty implant with the medical implant delivery and retrieval device when the annuloplasty implant is disconnected from the medical implant delivery and retrieval device wherein said complementary mating surface comprises a recess for locking movement of said annuloplasty implant, when received in said locking structure, in said longitudinal direction. 60 . The system according to claim 59 , wherein the retrieval element is a security wire adapted to be engaged to retract the annuloplasty implant towards the locking structure. 61 . The system according to claim 59 , wherein the annuloplasty implant comprises an annuloplasty ring or helix. 62 . The system according to claim 59 , wherein said complementary mating surface comprises a first locking surface aligned in a first radial direction (R) to lock rotational movement of said annuloplasty implant, when received in said locking structure, around said longitudinal direction. 63 . The system according to claim 59 , comprising a pusher being movable within a lumen of the locking structure, wherein the pusher is extendible beyond a distal end of the locking structure to disengage the annuloplasty implant from the locking structure. 64 . The system according to claim 59 , wherein: the medical implant delivery and retrieval device comprises a steerable sheath; the sheath has a delivery configuration where a distal end thereof is adapted to be positioned at an angle with respect to a heart valve for delivery of the annuloplasty implant; and the angle is essentially parallel with the heart valve. 65 . The system according to claim 64 , wherein the distal end of the steerable sheath is adapted to be curved in a circular configuration.
