The present disclosure relates to information transmission methods. One example method includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE), positioning measurement configuration information from a positioning center, and performing, by the UE, positioning measurement based on the positioning measurement configuration information. The positioning measurement configuration information comprises a quantity of to-be-measured cells, and the quantity of to-be-measured cells is used to limit a maximum quantity of to-be-measured cells.

An information transmission method, comprising: receiving, by a user equipment (UE), positioning measurement configuration information from a positioning center, wherein the positioning measurement configuration information comprises a quantity of to-be-measured cells, and wherein the quantity of to-be-measured cells is used to limit a maximum quantity of to-be-measured cells; and performing, by the UE, positioning measurement based on the positioning measurement configuration information. 2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein receiving, by the UE, the positioning measurement configuration information from the positioning center comprises: receiving, by the UE, a provide assistance data message from the positioning center, wherein the provide assistance data message comprises the positioning measurement configuration information. 3 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises: sending, by the UE, a measurement report to the positioning center. 4 . An information transmission method, comprising: determining, by a base station, coverage indication information, wherein the coverage indication information indicates that a user equipment (UE) is at a coverage enhancement level; and sending, by the base station, the coverage indication information to a positioning center through a core network device, wherein the coverage indication information is used for determination of positioning measurement configuration information. 5 . The method according to claim 4 , wherein determining, by the base station, the coverage indication information comprises: determining, by the base station, the coverage indication information based on the coverage enhancement level of the UE. 6 . The method according to claim 4 , wherein sending, by the base station, the coverage indication information to the positioning center, comprises: sending, by the base station, an initial UE message or a UE context resume request message to the core network device, wherein the initial UE message or the UE context resume request message comprises the coverage indication information. 7 . An apparatus, comprising at least one processor and a storage medium storing executable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to: receive positioning measurement configuration information from a positioning center, wherein the positioning measurement configuration information comprises a quantity of to-be-measured cells, and wherein the quantity of to-be-measured cells is used to limit a maximum quantity of to-be-measured cells; and perform positioning measurement based on the positioning measurement configuration information. 8 . The apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the instructions cause the apparatus to: receive a provide assistance data message from the positioning center, wherein the provide assistance data message comprises the positioning measurement configuration information. 9 . The apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the instructions further cause the apparatus to: send a measurement report to the positioning center. 10 . An apparatus, comprising at least one processor and a storage medium storing executable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to: determine coverage indication information, wherein the coverage indication information indicates that a user equipment (UE) is at a coverage enhancement level; and send the coverage indication information to a positioning center through a core network device, wherein the coverage indication information is used for determination of positioning measurement configuration information. 11 . The apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein the instructions cause the apparatus to: determine the coverage indication information based on the coverage enhancement level of the UE. 12 . The apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein the instructions cause the apparatus to: send an initial UE message or a UE context resume request message to the core network device, wherein the initial UE message or the UE context resume request message comprises the coverage indication information.
