Systems, apparatuses, and methods for remotely adjusting performance and power parameters of a computing device are disclosed. A computing system includes a first computing device connected to a second (remote) computing device. The user uses the second computing device to monitor and adjust parameters, such as a fan speed for a GPU on a video graphics card in the first computing device, while the first computing device executes a parallel data application such as a video game. Additionally, the user uses the second computing device to manage video recorder operations. By using the second computing device to send commands to a graphics driver and a video recorder application, the first computing device's display monitor does not display a user interface during execution of the video game. No video rendering is performed by the video graphics card of the first computing device to generate and control the user interface.

1 - 20 . (canceled) 21 . An apparatus comprising: a first computing device; and a communication interface; wherein the first computing device is configured to: send, via the communication interface, a session request comprising connection data to a second computing device external to the apparatus, wherein the connection data includes data provided by the second computing device; receive, via the communication interface, session data from the second computing; send, via the communication interface, a command that causes an adjustment to a parameter of the second computing device. 22 . The apparatus as recited in claim 21 , wherein the data obtained from the second computing device includes data for establishing a session. 23 . The apparatus as recited in claim 22 , wherein the first computing device is configured to send the command responsive to receiving diagnostic data from the second computing device. 24 . The apparatus as recited in claim 23 , wherein the parameter corresponds to at least one of a fan speed and a clock speed of the second computing device. 25 . The apparatus as recited in claim 21 , wherein the command corresponds to a video recorder command for a software application. 26 . The apparatus as recited in claim 21 , wherein the session request is a request to establish a session. 27 . The apparatus as recited in claim 21 , wherein the connection data includes data obtained from an image displayed by the second computing device. 28 . The apparatus as recited in claim 21 , wherein the connection data comprises one or more of a server Internet Protocol address for the second computing device, a server hostname for the second computing device, a server listening port for the second computing device, and a server authentication code. 29 . A method comprising: sending, from a first computing device, a session request comprising connection data to a second computing device, wherein the connection data includes data provided by the second computing device; receiving, from the second computing device, session data; sending, from the first computing device, a command that causes an adjustment to a parameter of the second computing device. 30 . The method as recited in claim 21 , wherein the data obtained from the second computing device includes data for establishing a session. 31 . The method as recited in claim 22 , further comprising sending the command from the first computing device, responsive to receiving diagnostic data from the second computing device. 32 . The method as recited in claim 23 , wherein the parameter corresponds to at least one of a fan speed and a clock speed of the second computing device. 33 . The method as recited in claim 21 , wherein the command corresponds to a video recorder command for a software application. 34 . The method as recited in claim 21 , wherein the session request is a request to establish a session. 35 . The method as recited in claim 21 , further comprising obtaining data included in the connection data from an image displayed by the second computing device. 36 . The method as recited in claim 21 , wherein the connection data comprises one or more of a server Internet Protocol address for the second computing device, a server hostname for the second computing device, a server listening port for the second computing device, and a server authentication code. 37 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing program instructions, wherein the program instructions are executable by a processor to: send, from a first computing device, a session request comprising connection data to a second computing device, wherein the connection data includes data provided by the second computing device; receive, from the second computing device, session data; send, from the first computing device, a command that causes an adjustment to a parameter of the second computing device. 38 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing program instruction as recited in claim 37 , wherein the data obtained from the second computing device includes data for establishing a session. 39 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing program instruction as recited in claim 37 , wherein the program instructions are executable by a processor send the command from the first computing device, responsive to receiving diagnostic data from the second computing device. 40 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing program instruction as recited in claim 37 , wherein the program instructions are executable to obtain the connection data from an image displayed by the second computing device.
