Opening claim text (preview).
What is claimed is: 1 . A wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) system comprising: a WCD connector, the WCD connector having shielding for electrical signals; and a WCD monitor, the WCD monitor having a receptacle configured to latchably couple with the WCD connector and having shielding configured to shield the WCD system. 2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the WCD connector comprises baffle like structures configured to prevent ingress of water into the receptacle. 3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the baffle like structures are configured to prevent ingress of water to an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IPX2 to IPX4. 4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein, the WCD connector shielding comprises a metal shielding. 5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein, the metal shielding comprises a die cast zinc alloy with nickel plating. 6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the WCD monitor shielding comprises a metal shielding. 7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the metal shielding comprises a beryllium copper alloy. 8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the receptacle comprises moving parts configured to latch with the WCD connector. 9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the moving parts comprise of moving parts made of engineered thermoplastic selected to reduce chemical bonding of the moving parts. 10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the WCD connector comprises one or more tabs configured to latch within the receptacle of the WCD monitor. 11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the WCD connector comprises high voltage pins and low voltage pins. 12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the two high voltage pins and the thirteen low voltage pins are arranged in a substantially trapezoidal layout. 13 . A wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) connector comprising: a plurality of electrical pins; one or more electrical shields configured to surround the electrical pins to electrically shield the plurality of electrical pins; and one or more tabs disposed on the sides of the WCD connector configured to facilitate latching of the WCD connector in a receptacle of a WCD monitor. 14 . The WCD connector of claim 13 , wherein the plurality of pins are arranged in a substantially trapezoidal layout. 15 . The WCD connector of claim 13 further comprising baffle like structures configured to prevent ingress of water into the receptacle. 16 . The WCD connector of claim 13 , wherein, the WCD shielding comprises a metal shielding. 17 . A wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) monitor comprising: a housing; a receptacle included in the housing, the receptacle configured to receive a WCD connector; and a plurality of latching features disposed within the receptacle, the plurality of latching features configured to latchably couple with the WCD connector; and a shield, the shield included within the receptacle and configured to electrically shield electrical signals between the WCD monitor and the WCD connector. 18 . The WCD monitor of claim 17 , wherein the shielding comprises a metal shielding. 19 . The WCD monitor of claim 17 , wherein the metal shielding comprises a beryllium copper alloy. 20 . The WCD monitor of claim 17 further comprising a button configured to latch and unlatch the WCD connector from the receptacle.
