A wireless communication method includes transmitting, from a base station (BS) that comprises multiple antenna ports (APs), multiple first Channel State Information Reference Signals (CSI-RSs) on the multiple APs using a first CSI-RS resource, receiving, with a user equipment (UE), the multiple first CSI-RSs, and calculating, with the UE, a Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) value on the first CSI-RS resource. The RSRP value is an average of RSRP values calculated for each of the multiple first CSI-RSs. The RSRP value is calculated in wattage. The wireless communication method further includes reporting, with the UE, at least one of the calculated RSRP value and a CSI Resource Indicator (CRI) that indicates the first CSI-RS resource to the BS.

What is claimed is: 1 . A wireless communication method comprising: transmitting, from a base station (BS) that comprises multiple antenna ports (APs), multiple first Channel State Information Reference Signals (CSI-RSs) on the multiple APs using a first CSI-RS resource; receiving, with a user equipment (UE), the multiple first CSI-RSs; and calculating, with the UE, a Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) value on the first CSI-RS resource. 2 . The wireless communication method according to claim 1 , wherein the RSRP value is a linear average of RSRP values calculated for each of the multiple first CSI-RSs. 3 . The wireless communication method according to claim 1 , wherein the RSRP value is calculated in wattage. 4 . The wireless communication method according to claim 1 , further comprising: reporting, with the UE, at least one of the calculated RSRP value and a CSI Resource Indicator (CRI) that indicates the first CSI-RS resource to the BS. 5 . The wireless communication method according to claim 1 , wherein the transmitting transmits multiple second CSI-RSs on the multiple APs using a second CSI-RS resource, wherein the receiving receives the multiple second CSI-RSs, and wherein the calculating calculates an RSRP value on the second CSI-RS resource. 6 . The wireless communication method according to claim 5 , further comprising: reporting, with the UE, at least one of the calculated RSRP values on the first CSI-RS resource and the second CSI-RS resource and CRIs to the BS, wherein the CRIs indicate the first CSI-RS resource and the second CSI-RS resource. 7 . The wireless communication method according to claim 5 , further comprising: determining, with the UE, a CSI-RS resource from the first CSI-RS resource and the second CSI-RS resource based on the calculated RSRP values on the first CSI-RS resource and the second CSI-RS resource, and reporting, with the UE, a CRI that indicates the determined CSI-RS resource to the BS. 8 . The wireless communication method according to claim 7 , wherein the reporting reports the calculated RSRP value of the determined CSI-RS resource. 9 . A user equipment (UE) comprising: a receiver that receives, from a base station (BS) that comprises multiple antenna ports (APs), multiple first Channel State Information Reference Signals (CSI-RSs) transmitted on the multiple APs using a first CSI-RS resource; and a processor that calculates a Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) value on the first CSI-RS resource. 10 . The UE according to claim 9 , wherein the RSRP value is an average of RSRP values calculated for each of the multiple first CSI-RSs. 11 . The UE according to claim 9 , wherein the RSRP value is calculated in wattage. 12 . The UE according to claim 9 , further comprising: a transmitter that transmits, to the BS, at least one of the calculated RSRP value and a CSI Resource Indicator (CRI) that indicates the first CSI-RS resource. 13 . The UE according to claim 9 , wherein the receiver receives, from the BS, multiple second CSI-RSs on the multiple APs using a second CSI-RS resource, and wherein the processor calculates a RSRP value on the second CSI-RS resource. 14 . The UE according to claim 13 , further comprising: the transmitter transmits, to the BS, at least one of the calculated RSRP values on the first CSI-RS resource and the second CSI-RS resource and CRIs, wherein the CRIs indicate the first CSI-RS resource and the second CSI-RS resource. 15 . The UE according to claim 13 , wherein the processor determines a CSI-RS resource from the first CSI-RS resource and the second CSI-RS resource based on the calculated RSRP values on the first CSI-RS resource and the second CSI-RS resource, and wherein the transmitter transmits, to the BS, a CRI that indicates the determined CSI-RS resource. 16 . The UE according to claim 15 , wherein the transmitter transmits the calculated RSRP value of the determined CSI-RS resource. 17 . A base station (BS) comprising: multiple antenna ports (APs); a transmitter that transmits, to a user equipment (UE), multiple first Channel State Information Reference Signals (CSI-RSs) on the multiple APs using a first CSI-RS resource; and a receiver that receives, from the UE, a Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) value calculated on the first CSI-RS resource. 18 . The UE according to claim 17 , wherein the RSRP value is an average of RSRP values calculated for each of the multiple first CSI-RSs. 19 .
