Metabolism-resistant fenfluramine analogs are provided. The subject fenfluramine analogs find use in the treatment of a variety of diseases. For example, methods of treating epilepsy by administering a fenfluramine analog to a subject in need thereof are provided. Also provided are methods of suppressing appetite in a subject in need thereof. Pharmaceutical compositions for use in practicing the subject methods are also provided.

A method of treating a refractory form of epilepsy, comprising: orally administering to a patient in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a metabolism-resistant fenfluramine analog having a structure selected from the group consisting of: 13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the compound is which is (1,1-difluoroethyl)({1-[3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]propan-2-yl})amine. 14 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the method further comprises co-administering to the patient an antiepileptic agent.
