Official abstract text for this publication.
The present invention relates to a peptide with anti-inflammatory activity, wherein the peptide comprises any one amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 to SEQ ID NO:161, the peptide has above 80% homology of amino acid sequence with above-mentioned sequences, or the peptide is the fragment of the above-mentioned peptides. The present invention also relates to an inflammatory composition comprising the above mentioned peptides. According to the present invention, a peptide that has at least one amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 to SEQ ID NO:161 has outstanding efficacy in both suppressing inflammation and in prophylactic means. Therefore, the composition comprising the peptides of this invention can be used as anti-inflammatory pharmaceutical compositions or as cosmetic compositions, in turn, treating and preventing a variety of different types of inflammatory diseases.

1 - 21 . (canceled) 22 . A method of treating or preventing inflammatory disease in a patient, comprising administering to the patient an isolated peptide having anti-inflammatory activity, wherein the peptide is 10 amino acids in length and has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 4. 23 . The method according to claim 22 , wherein the inflammatory disease is selected from the group consisting of general or localized inflammatory disease; gastro-intestinal related diseases; dermal related diseases; vascular related disease; respiratory diseases; bone, joint, muscle, and connective tissue related diseases; urogenital disorders; central or peripheral nervous system related diseases; virus; and autoimmune diseases. 24 . The method according to claim 22 , wherein the peptide originates from human telomerase. 25 . The method according to claim 22 , wherein the peptide increases high mobility group protein box 1 (HMGB1) expression in a nucleus of a cell. 26 . The method according to claim 22 , wherein the peptide reduces the expression level of TNF-α. 27 . A method of treating or preventing skin inflammation comprising administering an isolated peptide having anti-inflammatory activity, wherein the peptide is 10 amino acids in length and has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 4. 28 . The method according to claim 27 , wherein the peptide originates from human telomerase. 29 . The method according to claim 27 , wherein the peptide increases high mobility group protein box 1 (HMGB1) expression in a nucleus of a cell. 30 . The method according to claim 27 , wherein the peptide reduces the expression level of TNF-α.
