Official abstract text for this publication.
A bipolar plate is disposed between a positive electrode and a negative electrode of a redox flow battery. The bipolar plate has, in a surface of the bipolar plate facing at least one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode, a plurality of grooves through which an electrolyte flows and a ridge positioned between the adjacent grooves. The bipolar plate includes rough surfaces which are disposed in at least parts of groove inner surfaces defining the respective grooves and surface roughness of which represented by arithmetic mean roughness Ra is 0.1 μm or larger.

1 . A bipolar plate, wherein the bipolar plate is disposed between a positive electrode and a negative electrode of a redox flow battery, wherein the bipolar plate has, in a surface of the bipolar plate facing at least one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode, a plurality of grooves through which an electrolyte flows and a ridge positioned between the adjacent grooves, and wherein the bipolar plate includes rough surfaces which are disposed in at least parts of groove inner surfaces defining the respective grooves and surface roughness of which represented by arithmetic mean roughness Ra is 0.1 μm or larger. 2 . The bipolar plate according to claim 1 , wherein the surface roughness of the rough surfaces represented by the arithmetic mean roughness Ra is 25 μm or smaller. 3 . The bipolar plate according to claim 1 , further comprising: a rough surface which is disposed in at least part of a surface of the ridge and surface roughness of which represented by the arithmetic mean roughness Ra is 0.1 μm or larger. 4 . A cell frame comprising: the bipolar plate according to claim 1 ; and a frame body provided at an outer periphery of the bipolar plate. 5 . A cell stack comprising: the cell frame according to claim 4 . 6 . A redox flow battery comprising: the cell stack according to claim 5 .
