Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A training apparatus includes an elastic band; a device for continuously determining an actual configuration of the training apparatus during exercise, e.g. a stretch of the elastic band or a 2D or 3D position of said device; and for generating a control signal for an audio device, the control signal being at least partially based on the actual configuration of the training apparatus; and for outputting the control signal.

We claim: 1 . A training apparatus, comprising: an elastic band; and a device constructed and adapted to: continuously determine an actual configuration of the training apparatus during exercise; and generate a control signal for an audio device, the control signal being at least partially based on the actual configuration of the training apparatus; and output the control signal. 2 . The training apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the control signal is generated continuously. 3 . The training apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the resistance of the elastic band is greater than 25 Newton (N). 4 . The training apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the control signal is a MIDI signal. 5 . The training apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the outputting means is an antenna. 6 . The training apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the control signal comprises a Wi-Fi or a Bluetooth signal. 7 . Use of a training apparatus according to claim 1 , for rehabilitation of physically impaired patients. 8 . An audio feedback extension kit for upgrading a training apparatus having adjustable resistance means, the kit comprising: a device constructed and adapted to continuously determine an actual configuration of the training apparatus during exercise; control signal generator constructed and adapted to generate generating a control signal for an audio device, the control signal being at least partially based on the actual configuration of the training apparatus; and means for outputting the control signal. 9 . The audio feedback extension kit of claim 8 , wherein the device for determining an actual configuration comprises a fastener constructed and adapted to fasten the device to an element or a section of a training apparatus or to a piece of clothing of a user. 10 . A method for generating an acoustic feedback during a physical exercise of a person on a training apparatus, the training apparatus comprising an elastic band, the method comprising: continuously determining an actual configuration of the training apparatus during exercise; generating a control signal for an audio device, the signal being at least partially based on the actual configuration of the training apparatus; generating an audio signal, the audio signal being at least partially based on the generated control signal; and outputting the audio signal. 11 . The method according to claim 10 , wherein the control signal is generated continuously. 12 . The method according to claim 11 , wherein a volume, or a pitch, or a tempo of the audio signal depends at least partially on the actual configuration of the training apparatus. 13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein a volume, or a pitch, or a tempo of the audio signal is linear-proportional to the actual position of the elastic band. 14 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the generated audio signal is merged with a second audio signal before it is put out. 15 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the audio signal comprises different tracks. 16 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the tracks comprise a drum track. 17 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the tracks comprise a piano track. 18 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the control signal is a MIDI signal. 19 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the determined configuration comprises a position of the device. 20 . The method according to claim 10 , wherein the determined configuration comprises an acceleration of the device. 21 . A training system with acoustic feedback, comprising: at least one training apparatus according to claim 1 ; and an audio device for generating an audio signal; and for outputting the generated audio signal; wherein the training system is configured to carry out a method according to claim 10 .
