Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A system, platform and method for personalized shopping are provided. In some embodiments, a personalized shopping assistant system may include a Point of Sale based automated shopping assistant apparatus, for generating a 3D user shopping profile based on a capture of at least a part of a user's body; a shopping assistant server connected to a shopping assistant database, based in a communications cloud, wherein the user shopping profile is uploaded to the shopping assistant database; a mobile device application for applying the user shopping profile in a store, using the user's mobile device; and multiple product identifiers for enabling the user to capture selected products using the mobile device application, wherein the product identifiers include scannable product data that is stored on the shopping assistant database.

1 . A personalized shopping assistant system, comprising: a Point of Sale based automated shopping assistant apparatus, for generating a 3D user shopping profile based on a capture of at least a part of a user's body; a shopping assistant server connected to a shopping assistant database, based in a communications cloud, wherein the user shopping profile is uploaded to the shopping assistant database; a mobile device application for applying the user shopping profile in a store, using the user's mobile device; and multiple product identifiers for enabling the user to capture selected products using the mobile device application, wherein the product identifiers include scannable product data that is stored on the shopping assistant database. 2 . The shopping assistant of claim 1 , wherein the shopping assistant apparatus includes one or more image scanners for capturing at least a part of a body that relates to an anatomical profile of a user, to enable capture of length, breadth and depth of the part of the body. 3 . The shopping assistant of claim 1 , wherein the shopping assistant apparatus includes one or more pressure sensors for capturing a depth impression of at least a part of a body that relates to an anatomical profile of a user. 4 . The shopping assistant of claim 1 , wherein the shopping assistant apparatus includes one or more light sources for capturing a depth impression of at least a part of a body that relates to an anatomical profile of a user. 5 . The shopping assistant of claim 1 , further comprising a proximity sensor associated with the shopping assistant apparatus, for identifying a user when the user enters a selected geographical zone around the shopping assistant apparatus. 6 . The shopping assistant of claim 1 , further comprising a proximity sensor associated with the shopping assistant apparatus, for enabling recognition and automatic triggering of a scan when a user is appropriately positioned in the proximity sensor's proximity. 7 . The shopping assistant of claim 1 , further comprising a shopping profile sharing module for enabling a user to shop for another user, when authorized, using the other user's shopping profile. 8 . The shopping assistant of claim 1 , wherein the shopping profile includes a feet profile, for enabling footwear matching. 9 . A method for matching shoppers and products, comprising: initiating capture of at least a part of a body by a shopping assistant apparatus, using one or more integrated imaging sensors; generating a user 3D shopping profile of the user, by the shopping assistant apparatus; generating a match between the generated profile and multiple products that fit one or more elements of the generated profile; sending the user shopping profile to a user mobile device; selecting a product of interest by the user, by scanning a product tab associated with a product, using the user mobile device; and providing the user with automated product matching for one or more selected products in a store. 10 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising ordering a selected product using the shopping assistant apparatus. 11 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising customizing a selected product using the shopping assistant apparatus. 12 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising ordering a customized product using the shopping assistant apparatus. 13 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising providing the user with product inventory information. 14 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising fitting a selected product on a user shopping profile avatar generated for the user shopping profile. 15 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising sending the fitted user profile avatar to a social media system for viewing by one or more users selected by the user. 16 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising enhancing the user shopping profile based on user behavior. 17 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising providing shopping recommendations based on criteria selected from the group consisting of the user shopping profile and user shopping behavior. 18 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising using the user shopping profile for shopping in an online store. 19 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising enhancing the user shopping profile using one or more capturing elements selected from the group consisting of a pressure sensor, image sensor, laser, and light sensor. 20 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising adding additional user shopping profiles to a mobile device. 21 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising converting a user's profile from an in-store apparatus to a user mobile device. 22 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the generating of a user 3D shopping profile includes generating of a 3D feet profile, for enabling footwear matching.
