A roulette wagering system is described that includes a roulette machine configured to operate live roulette games in which a roulette ball is launched into an angled annular track encircling a roulette wheel. A controller associated with the roulette machine may regulate one or more inertial values associated with the roulette ball. A bet close time of a betting window associated with the live roulette games may be determined based on the one or more inertial values associated. A rotation velocity of the roulette wheel may be adjusted subsequent to a bet close time of a live roulette games. Game cycle events may be detected using audio associated with the live roulette games and audible and/or visual effects may be generated based on the audio. A controller associated with the roulette machine may synchronizes the live roulette games operated by the roulette machine with live roulette games operated by one or more additional roulette machines. Bets may be placed based on a player selected betting risk level.

What is claimed is: 1 . A method for synchronizing games cycles between two roulette machines, comprising: monitoring inertial information associated with a first roulette ball moving on a first roulette wheel of a first roulette machine during a first game cycle of roulette; and launching a second roulette ball in a second roulette machine at a specified time during a second game cycle of roulette based on the inertial information. 2 . The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein launching includes specifying a launch speed for the second roulette ball. 3 . The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the monitoring and the launching results in the two roulette machines operating in series. 4 . The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the monitoring and the launching results in the two roulette machines operating in parallel. 5 . The method as recited in claim 4 , further comprising providing a graphical user interface on a display configured to enable a player to make a side bet based on game cycle results of one or more of the first game cycle and the second game cycle. 6 . The method as recited in claim 5 , wherein the side bet is based on the game cycle result of one roulette machine being associated with a higher number than the other roulette machine. 7 . The method as recited in claim 5 , wherein the side bet is based on the game cycle result of one roulette machine being associated with a lower number than the other roulette machine. 8 . The method as recited in claim 5 , wherein the side bet is based on the game cycle results of the two roulette machines over a period of time being associated with an aggregate number above a specified number. 9 . The method as recited in claim 5 , wherein the side bet is based on the game cycle results of the two roulette machines over a period of time being associated with an aggregate number below a specified number. 10 . The method as recited in claim 5 , wherein the side bet is based on the game cycle results of the two roulette machines being associated with a color. 11 . The method as recited in claim 5 , wherein the side bet is based on the game cycle result of the two roulette machines being associated with an even number or an odd number. 12 . The method as recited in claim 1 , further comprising providing a graphical user interface on a display configured to enable a player to interact with the first roulette machine while monitoring the second roulette machine. 13 . The method as recited in claim 12 , wherein the graphical user interface displays game information about the first roulette machine in a first size and the second roulette machine in a second size. 14 . The method as recited in claim 13 , wherein the first size and the second size are substantially equal. 15 . The method as recited in claim 13 , wherein the first size is larger than the second size. 16 . The method as recited in claim 15 , wherein the second size provides less game information than the first size.
