Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

One embodiment provides a method, including: receiving, at an information handling device, a query from a user; receiving an indication of a time associated with provision of a result associated with the query; and adjusting a characteristic associated with an audible output based upon the indicated time. Other aspects are described and claimed.

What is claimed is: 1 . A method, comprising: receiving, at an information handling device, a query from a user; receiving an indication of a time associated with provision of a result associated with the query; and adjusting a characteristic associated with an audible output based upon the indicated time. 2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the adjusting a characteristic comprises adjusting a speed associated with provision of the result. 3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising identifying a plurality of versions of the result, each version comprising different lengths and wherein the adjusting comprises providing a version of the results based upon the indicated time. 4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the adjusting a characteristic comprises summarizing the result based upon the indicated time. 5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the adjusting a characteristic comprises identifying a break point in the result associated with the indicated time and providing the result up to the break point. 6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the receiving an indication comprises accessing an accessible data storage source to identify the time. 7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the receiving an indication of a time comprises receiving indication of a delay associated with accessing the result associated with the query. 8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the receiving indication of a delay comprises receiving indication of a long delay and wherein the adjusting a characteristic comprises pausing until the results are accessed. 9 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the receiving indication of a delay comprises receiving indication of a short delay and wherein the adjusting a characteristic comprises stalling until the results are accessed. 10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the stalling comprises slowing a speed of the output based upon the delay. 11 . An information handling device, comprising: a processor; a memory device that stores instructions executable by the processor to: receive a query from a user; receive an indication of a time associated with provision of a result associated with the query; and adjust a characteristic associated with an audible output based upon the indicated time. 12 . The information handling device of claim 11 , wherein the instructions executable by the processor to adjust a characteristic comprise instructions executable by the processor to adjust a speed associated with provision of the result. 13 . The information handling device of claim 11 , wherein the instructions are further executable by the processor to identify a plurality of versions of the result, each version comprising different lengths and wherein the adjusting comprises providing a version of the results based upon the indicated time. 14 . The information handling device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions executable by the processor to adjust a characteristic comprise instructions executable by the processor to summarize the result based upon the indicated time. 15 . The information handling device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions executable by the processor to adjust a characteristic comprise instructions executable by the processor to identify a break point in the result associated with the indicated time and providing the result up to the break point. 16 . The information handling device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions executable by the processor to receive an indication of a time comprise instructions executable by the processor to receive indication of a delay associated with accessing the results associated with the query. 17 . The information handling device of claim 16 , wherein the instructions executable by the processor to receive indication of a delay comprise instructions executable by the processor to receive indication of a long delay and wherein the instructions executable by the processor to adjust a characteristic comprise instructions executable by the processor to pause until the results are accessed. 18 . The information handling device of claim 16 , wherein the instructions executable by the processor to receive indication of a delay comprise instructions executable by the processor to receive indication of a short delay and wherein the instructions executable by the processor to adjust a characteristic comprise instructions executable by the processor to stall until the results are accessed. 19 . The information handling device of claim 18 , wherein the instructions executable by the processor to stall comprise instructions executable by the processor to slow a speed of the output based upon the delay. 20 . A product, comprising: a storage device that stores code, the code being executable by a processor and comprising: code that receives a query from a user; code that receives an indication of a time associated with provision of a result associated with the query; and code that adjusts a characteristic associated with an audible output based upon the indicated time.
