Official abstract text for this publication.
A measurement method includes a first measurement in which a characteristic amount of a specific analyte in a biological fluid with a biosensor having a reagent surface is measured. The method also includes a second measurement in which the tilt angle or rotation angle of the reagent surface from a neutral position, or vibration applied to the reagent surface, as motion information of living activity is measured. Additionally, the method may include recording the motion information, and controlling, based on the motion information, a measurement operation of the first measurement and a recording operation of the recording.

1 . A measurement method comprising: a first measurement step of measuring a characteristic amount of a specific analyte in a biological fluid with a biosensor having a reagent surface; a second measurement step of measuring the tilt angle or rotation angle of the reagent surface from a neutral position thereof, or vibration applied to the reagent surface, as motion information of living activity; a recording step of recording the motion information; and a controlling step of controlling, based on the motion information, a measurement operation of the first measurement step and a recording operation of the recording step. 2 . The measurement method according to claim 1 , wherein, in the controlling step, a measurement operation of the first measurement step is executed when a value measured as the motion information is equal to or less than a predetermined value. 3 . The measurement method according to claim 1 , wherein, in the controlling step, a recording operation of the recording step is executed when a value measured as the motion information is equal to or less than a predetermined value. 4 . The measurement method according to claim 1 , wherein, in the controlling step, a measurement operation of the first measurement step is executed when the tilt angle is within ±30%. 5 . The measurement method according to claim 1 , further comprising: determining, based on the motion information, the amount of damage to a housing to which the biosensor is attached; and recording and/or notifying the damage amount and the number of times the housing has been damaged.
